Good start to the day, walking to the train station hatched 3 eggs, one of them a Tyrogue, picked up a 10k on the way, have enough candy for another Ninetales now, half way to another Charizard, and half way to my first Typhlosion.

Aye, one ice type (sort of) that I've seen is Shellder, and even then it only becomes ice when it evolves.

Yeah, other than Swinhub, it's all Fire for me. Not a complaint but I would like to catch a Lapras. Not because I don't already have one but, come on, who doesn't want to catch a Lapras!? :D

Yes I have not seen any ICE pokemon yet.
Was hoping to get a lapras. I have only ever caught one, and it's a mighty 173CP beast.

I think I'm just going to stockpile Swinub candy while waiting for gen 4. I'll have an army of Mamoswine!

Already have over 100 and 200 for Sneasel and Murkrow's evolutions.

So in the official event announcements they mentioned it was to celebrate summer solstice in the northern hemisphere and the winter one in the southern hemisphere.....

So maybe the reason we are seeing all the fire types is because we are summer solstice???
Any all the southerners are drowning in ice types???

    Just my theory :(

Looking forward to this event. Have just put a couple of eggs in incubators and going to walk for a couple of hours after work. Haven't had a 10k egg in a few weeks though

For me the more common I saw last night were Fire types - Vulpix , Growlithe ,Ponyta , with a bit less of Hondour , Cyndaquild ,Charmander.
But definitely increase in Ice types too of Swinub ,Sneazel and Seal (for evolution ice type).
At 120 Ice types currently so hoping to get Gold medal by end of event.

Christchurch in Dublin had 2 Scyther's this morning. I'd never seen one in the wild before.

I'm actually all set for all the gen 4 for candy bar Porygon. I'll assume PorygonZ will be 100 candy, I'm on 93 at the moment

Interesting that you are planning ahead for gen4 considering we don't have gen3 yet.
Are there any upcoming evolutions that I could prepare for now, in gen 3?

I was lucky enough to have a Sychter nest beside me just before Gen 3 dropped. Set me up nicely to use those Metal Coat evo items.

Baby Sudowoodo (Bonsly) and Snorlax (Muchlax) are Gen 3 but no new evolutions of existing Pokemon until Gen 4.

Nope, those two are gen 4. Marill and Wobbuffet get pre-evolutions in 3 though, Azurill and Wynaut.

In Stephen's Green now, taking a bit of a break to charge my phone. Have enough candy for two Arcanine now, just need a good Growlithe. Also have enough for Typhlosion, another Ninetales, and I hatched a Machop which was great, and a Slugma which was less great.

You are right of course, looks like I got mixed up with Pokemon XD which those two were in along with Gen 1-3 Pokemon.

Ah right, I've never actually played those games (never owned a GameCube).

My rarest catch of the event so far has been houndoom.

Increased my cyndaquil candies from 6 to 104.

Plenty of growlithe, vulpix, ponyta, swinub, a few charmanders and houndours and 1 seel.

The rarity tier on silph road reddit seems spot on.

My rarest capture was a Charizard.

Hatched my other 10k, Mantine :( I did at least pick up another 10k after that, so hopefully it will be a bit better.

Done for the day - caught a mountain of Cyndaquil - have enough candy for another Typhlosion and more. Lots of Houndour aswell - went for an hour long walk, two lucky eggs, must have racked up at least 85k XP - great event so far. My only worry is running low on Pinaps and Ultras

IamSuperCabbage and MarkyKratos at it again, this time they took a gym by a busy main road that I was sitting at.

Ouch, that sucks :( I didn't see a single Lapras in Dublin today, only ice types were Swinub, Shellder, Seel, and the odd Sneasel.
