Should've gone through the hands out wide, that pass from Farrell was never going to be any use.

It's obviously a coached illegal tactic. Still keeps happening when the Crusaders change out their front row. Surprised it's taken up until this point of the season for the Crusaders to be exposed.

It's taken up until they came up against one of the best scrummaging TH/Hooker combinations they'll face, you mean.

    Crusaders are pretty unimpressive.

Aren't they. Game is a bit disappointing given the hype and build up.

Come on. The crusaders smashed through the Lion's scrum. If a team can show such dominance, and need to resort to cheating on every other scrum then something doesn't add up.

That's going to be a penalty against I think though he only rides up so harsh enough.

    Edit, nope, sensible decision.

He's in touch before it touches the head.

If that was a pen, then I'm the pope

With the new offside law are you meant to be a metre behind the ruck at all breakdowns or just from set pieces?

Are you referring to the one scrum where that happened?

You're kidding yourself if you don't think this Lions scrum is and was expected to be dominant.

Ironic the amount of whinging that is going on after all we were told in the autumn...

Sexton has been a country mile better than his previous outings on this tour. Actually played quite well overall imo.

One example doesn't prove anything to be fair

Poor call against the Crusaders there but super work from Johnny.

Been brilliant tonight. True colpurs shining through.

Sexton and Farrell really showing the value of having two distributors in the backline.

He's come into the game extremely well. Fantastic to see. I reckon this could be the midfield we see closing out test matches.

Crusaders loose head is never straight

Is this how the crusaders usually play? This is fairly mediocre.

It helps him hugely that there are 2 other playmakers in Murray and Farrell around him.

is their scrum normally this much of a liability? Or maybe the standard of the opposition might be playing a part...

So much for the cream of NZ rugby, they were pretty poor and unimaginative.

No. But Super Rugby is not as tight a game as the Lions made it. They won't have seen this kind of performance cone at them very often.
