From what you say about being barred from access to finances, being isolated from friends and family, being berated, controlled, etc., you might be in an abusive relationship. Here are some useful contacts. Make sure he does not know you are doing this. Some good advice.

The savings account and the car might be ' in his name" but since you are married you actually own half if them.
