Hello. Just bought a house and have gotten engineer to go out to the house. I am just wondering if anyone could tell me how long it should take to get a report from an engineer after he has carried out the inspection?
    Thanks in advance!

We had ours in three days but he gave me a verbal run down of things over the phone the day after he had been at the house.

Depends on how busy they are, how much there is to report on, how competent they are, etc.

When I used to do them I would try to turn them around in the same day (survey in the morning, report in the afternoon), so barring any trips to the Planning and or Building Control offices, and the provisos above it could be tomorrow, or it could be next week!
