A well rolled Thousand Yard Stare or Longbow Synth are viable alternatives in the Mid-High impact tier and often have more in the Mag (mitigating against the lower impact as higher DPS due to more rounds etc)

I have a 1KYS with 5 in the mag (instead of 4) so I tend to favour that. Much more noticeable difference on Boss DPS with 5 shots vs 3 as opposed to 4 shots vs 3.

Can't beat the Jade Rabbit, find it much handier for Oryx encounter. ToM is garbage trying to shoot mobs.

Hey all,

I'm a former boards clan member that due to one reason or another left and set up own clan.
GenericDreadhead & others were kind enough to drag me through my first Crota, VoG and Skolas run a couple of years ago.

Due to lads moving to other games from clan we regularly struggle to get team for raid together but would love another run at the 390 level old raids.

If a spot opened up when ye are running the raids again I'd love to jump in on a team. Understand completely that boards clan members get spots but if one opened up.....

Can you do the Crotas End Challenge on the "Hard Mode" (non LL390) version?

Was thinking of helping 2 of my mates do it at some stage but they are ~360 atm

Think the challenges on VoG and CE are only available on the 390LL featured raid.

The challenges only drop rewards when it's the featured raid.

Bring them on a normal crota or even a Hard Kings fall as they will get plenty of rewards for that. If I was on tonight I would give a hand.

Will probably need another experienced raider if it goes ahead. Surprised more people aren't jumping on this as there are still a good few in the clan that haven't completed the Outbreak Prime quest yet.

Looks like we're aiming for 8, but with 3/4 of us so low, we might just muck around in other content.

Am I right in saying that it's nigh on impossible to play the game without getting to ~385 light cause thats what Blues are dropping at?

(Tbh, I pay f**k all attention to drops and auto delete 95%+ of stuff)

Doing Strikes and Archons Forge would be better economically if we wanted to level up right? Since you get more blues per minute as opposed to PvP where you get 0-2 drops per 12 mins
