    If I've got a type it would probably be the classic tall dark and handsome. If he's got nice shoulders and can make me laugh he's in dream man territory. His race wouldn't matter to me.

    Maybe and I see what you mean, but I dunno. There may be an element to that alright and it can come up in preferences, but there's also a very general innate drive for us to reproduce with "different", for sound reasons too. Variety in gene flow tends to improve a species.

    Many worry about Artificial Intelligence. I worry far more about Organic Idiocy.

    Absolutely and I think they've had a helping hand too. And they are still nowhere near model-beautiful, IMO. Daddy's money!     Depends who you ask, eh? Hippos fancy other hippos, and swans other swans.

    Humans fancy other humans, some have a preferred "type" and some don't.

    I've always liked that line near the beginning of "Roots" where the boy growing up the in the Gambia sees the women blackening the palms of their hands.
    His mother tells him that the darker her skin, the more beautiful she is regarded: so for this special occasion, the girls even blacken their palms and feet. I don't know if this is actually a true incident, but it's a nice story.

    And my next door neighbour, a country-woman in her 90's, told me that years ago in rural Donegal, "all a girl needed, to be thought a beauty, was to have red hair."

    So you see it varies so much from place to place, time to time, person to person, about who is "considered attractive"!!

    Hmm, I didnt see how persian people looked better than many other races tbh..like I don't know that many, but from the ones Ive seen in person and in the media they seem decent yeh but not in any way more noteworthy on average than other groups

    I've been attracted to women from most ethnic backgrounds but I do favour olive skin, dark eyes and long black hair so Latinos and Middle Eastern women are top-notch for me ......... I find absolutely nothing attractive about African women or women of African descent unless significantly diluted resulting in stunners like Halle Berry, Beyonce, Rihanna etc.

    In Ireland at least, white women being predominant means that it's the norm, so our models, celebrities, TV presenters etc and all those professions that rely on someone being attractive, are white women.

    If you were to look at your average white woman on the street though, I wouldn't say she's any more attractive than any other race. The most attractive people I've ever seen in a "stop and stare every few minutes" type of way were in Toronto, which is a famously culturally and racially diverse place.

At the risk of sounding racist most of the black women I see on a daily basis look like they've just arrived from The Congo or somewhere and are obnoxiously loud, covered in tribal garb, if they're not wearing head scarves have weird short spiked afros and are wearing these sandals that their feet keep slipping out of because of their weight. I suspect these women are only in their thirties or forties but appear far older.

    Some black women are gorgeous but I don't see many of them walking around Carlow town. I've seen loads of attractive women on television. I've even seen loads of attractive 'normal', non-celebrity black women on the likes of Twitter. In real life though I've probably seen maybe thirty, possibly less, attractive black women in my entire life.

    Never would of thought people considered Beyonce stunning, beauty in the eye of the beholder I guess.

    Isn't it always? :confused:

    Beyonce is generally considered to be an extremely attractive woman, she's not in my Top Ten or even close but she's way up there on a lot of people's list.

    For me, I'm not into East Asian or South East Asian men, looks-wise. Japanese, Chinese, Filipino, Vietnamese etc. just do nothing for me. Black men sometimes do, ditto middle eastern and Asian sub-continental men. I just seem to like white men the best.
