    Note: - SuperSU 2.80 is available, but people should avoid updating, as reported problems with adaway and bootloops on some devices.

    Check the SuperSU XDA stable thread for more info.

    Edit 1: - Version 2.81 has been made available to fix the bugs caused above. Still waiting on a flashable version from Chainfire before I update.

    Edit 2: - People are still reporting unsuccessful root with that version as well!

    Warning Reminder!!

    SuperSU 2.80 or 2.81 are causing problems on some devices, from unsuccessful root, Adaway not functioning and bootloops.

    Until further notice it is better to stick with 2.79 or 2.79-SR3!
    or SR4 if you have rom/device that supports that!

    Chainfire is aware of the problems and working on fixing it.

    And another post in the stable thread!

    Make sure to disable auto updates in play store.

    It unrooted my previously nicely rooted old kindle tablet, so that was a touch annoying.

    Update on SuperSU issues!
    v2.82 is currently in staged roll-out on Google Play

    You can find the APK and ZIP files, and some more information, in the test releases post here:

    Testing and reports back are appreciated.

    Xperia users should note that the boot-loop issue has not been resolved yet
    Unfortunately the update cannot wait for this. I will need an Xperia user who is experiencing this issue to be available for live testing for several hours sometime in the coming days to be able to track and fix this issue.

    Release posts, changelogs, and elaboration on what the hell exactly happened, etc, will come tomorrow or so. I need a break right now.

    Note as far as I'm aware there is no improvements in 2.8x over 2.79-SR3 other than support for devices using Android O!
    So no rush to update, until i see the changelogs.

    Note, updated from 2.79-SR3 and haven't used the problem versions.

    Yep, I second Brave Browser. Great for the ad blocker out of the box without Root.

    Only annoyance is the embedded twitter links either on boards or say sportsjoe.ie don't work. Known bug I think but not sure if there's a solution
