What meetups/groups would you suggest joining?

    Kats Conf and the functional kubs meetups were pretty good when I tried them out, and the BLT Open Source meetup was great when it was still running. Both located in Dublin.

    Does anyone have any suggestions or know of any groups/communities that are particularly great?

    If you have the meetup app it's pretty handy for finding one you're interested in. I've been to a few of the docker ones and found them quite good!

    I always found the Python Ireland ones quite good when I was living in Dublin.

    Depends on what your area of expertise is. For me the GDG meetups are fantastic.
