Townley Hall woods shrinking

Does anyone know why Coillte have felled so much of the woods in the last year? A real shame that the woods and trails are being reduced given that there so few other options in Louth. There's been no effort to clear the path which was used previously, all the dead wood is just laying there. Are they even planning on…

A real shame that the woods and trails are being reduced given that there so few other options in Louth. There's been no effort to clear the path which was used previously, all the dead wood is just laying there. Are they even planning on replanting?

Probably a good reason for it, like thinning or harvesting. Email Coillte and they will explain.
