    Cech gets a bp

42(-12) with Hazard, Alonso, Sanchez(c) and Monreal to play.
A suprising number of wildcarders in my leagues have sold Alonso so a goal and clean sheet tomorrow night would be nice.

40 with Alonso,Cedric,Costa and Captain Sanchez to go.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 7,955 ✭✭✭Mr. Guappa

39 from 8 with another 7 to go. 3/3 for CS, just 2 assists from 5 attackers, and no bonus.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 7,790 ✭✭✭Benimar

30 (-4) with Sanchez (c), Yoshida, Alonso and Costa to go.

One clean sheet and one assist from 9 players so far :(

44 with Cech, Alonso, Yoshida, Oxlade-Chamberlain, Sahchez (C), Hazard and Costa to play.

14 points off the top in my main league.

    Very pleased.

There's an easy way to get followers on FPL twitter accounts.

Random player - "I captained The Ox."
FPL account - "you're just the best manager in the entire world."

Random player - "I captained Yoshida"
FPL account - "brilliant move!!! Excellent strategy"

Anyways 40 for the week. One rival had Forster so not the worst.
FPL Twitter is a hotbed of morons. There's at least a 99% chance that if you're a guy who has christened yourself FPLRebel or FPLPlanner that you have zero to offer to a legitimate strategy conversation.

But if you understand when the double gameweeks are and how the chips work, then you can rattle off any oul nonsense to newbies on Twitter and they'll think you're a visionary.

Groupthink exists on here too, but at least in my opinion, it's a slightly more sensible groupthink.

44 with Alonso, Hazard, Costa, Monreal, Yoshida, Oxlade-Chamberlain, Ozil and Gabbiadini to play.

This bonus point thing annoys me. Half and hour after the Arsenal game the Ox was leading the bonus points system but I see now he only got one bonus point. Absolutely ridiculous, I'd prefer if they didn't show the bonus point system to us.

    At first I was like

Yes! Gabriel not playing, that means Stephens will come in for him

And then it dawned on me that Gabriel due to play on Wednesday :(

I don't understand the gripe. We know how and why it changes. I'd definitely rather have a rough knowledge of how it's going to finish up than none.

Those 39 points equate to a 1k rise to 4.2k.

47 (-4) with Sanchez(tc), Stephens, Hazard and Gabbi to go.

Also up to the dizzying heights of 89,477!!
My first time in the top 100k this season.

My first season playing the game and was in 531,944 after week 18 so pretty chuffed. :D

47 PTS no hits, 6 players and captain sanchez to go. Around 1,900 overall

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 17,022 ✭✭✭✭Iused2likebusts

27(-8) with 7 to go. Poor enough so far but I do have the differentials still to play to turn it around. My old friend mignolet who I kept for 10gws for endless frustration has now got 3 cs in 5 since I sold him.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 29,293 ✭✭✭✭Mint Sauce

37 from 10 brings me back up to the top 150k in the live standings, with a further 7 to come off the bench. Sanchez (tc), C?dric, and Ward Prowse to all play again. With no Chelsea cover, am fearing the worse tomorrow night.

    45(-8)
with Alonso, sanchez(c), monreal and cech and yoshida to go

    up to 7,250 now.
    top 5k still a possibility.

Really hoping sanchez can produce something on wed.

You need to be careful who you follow but there are some very wise heads on Twitter. Easier to spot them if you have a clue and were schooled in somewhere like here.

For the 'newbies' it would be impossible to know the 90% that are full of ****.

But I have a few people on there who I value for ideas and feedback as much as the best posters around here.

There's good stuff there, just don't engage with the bullshít.

PS: Not all ****FPL accounts are morons!!? ;)

Yours is just your name and FPL so it's not quite the same as referring to yourself as FPLTerminator or something very silly like that. With that said if I remember correctly one of the better guys on here has an account like that so there are exceptions to every rule of course.

Agreed on there being a couple of guys on there who are worth listening to but typically they're just normal guys talking about FPL rather than people masquerading as some sort of pundit.

30 (4) with Alonso, Pedro and the three doubles Bertrand, Gabbi and Sanchez (c) to go again

In general that's a good rule of thumb. Although there are a couple of lads who write blogs either general or stats based who are top notch.

I changed the name on my Twitter to include FPL cause I only use it for that, but when I set it up I stupidly followed and got followed by non FPL friends and contacts, so I wanted to be clear it was solely an FPL account in the faint hope they all don't think I'm a total weirdo. :)

42 with 6 to play, back up to 5k.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 16,305 ✭✭✭✭Mr.Prodston

42 points and up to 13k

Alonso, Hazard, Yoshida, Stephens, Gabbi, Monreal and Sanchez (c) still to go.

Just noting that there's 21 points on my bench this week, ahead of BB next week. Pickford and Albrighton essentially.

2 more new entrants into the Sunday world league
    In at 2nd and 4th
    That's 5 in the last 3 weeks
    Down to 9th now
    Think I'll just leave it

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 48,457 ✭✭✭✭km79

Feel sorry for the guy who has been leading it all year who has dropped down to 3rd
    Only 28 off top mind
    Hope he wins it

39 (-8) with five to play between DGW'ers and Chelsea.

Feel very lucky that my Holding punt paid off, when it was done purely to fit Aguero in a couple of weeks back when 4m was all I had.

I only have Costa tonight, but those below and above me have Hazard so it's a nervy one. A defining MNF for my main money league I think.

You and me both. Alonso and Hazard to really do the business is needed.
