Oh god here we go, hate when they talk about French politics on this show, half of what they come out with is uninformed BS.

Curry says the candidates are "unknowns". Maybe for people outside of France but most of them are well known here.

How can you say that, do you live in France or something?

I hate when they talk about IRISH Politics for the exact same reasons, it's all Ill-informed middle class dinner party consensus bull**** .

How many comebacks did Lazarus have?

Oh, right, yeah: just the one. I'll start saying, 'more comebacks than Pádraig Ó Céidigh' so. Thanks for that.

this conversation re hospitals could be a direct repeat of a programme 20 years ago, and Marion remains as ignorant as ever about the health services topic , she covers it so much she could at least spend some of her week of research actually reading up on the topic.

He's certainly got a broad brush hasn't he.

Ignoring the core problem of unions, and the inability of any minister to affect real changes to make the serious changes in attitude and productivity that he is talking about.

It's a hell of a long way to go for most of the population to stay in a town with 43% occupancy. I think Neven must be adding to that figure as he's never out of Montrose.

A good top-tip from Neven re guacamole- Don't eat the stone of the avocado.

he really is one hell of a glorified muck-savage , they'd eat him for breakfast in any Michelin- starred restaurant.

    Correct.

Whilst not doubting the sincerity of Mr O'Keeffe, I'm afraid all this is well known by those cunning canines 'the dogs in the street'long long ago

It all has been said before, agreed by most, lauded, clapped on the back etc. etc.

You're see, what Mr O'Keeffe overlooks is that it's easy to trot out the answers, implementing them when the main stakeholders are entrenched and intransigent and hold' ALL THE BIG CARDS'

The State can't shut down the hospital system!!!

Therefore those in it have no 'incentive' to change or move to efficiencies other than keep accepting pumped money into a black hole where the money is swallowed up but the problems dont improve or be solved.

Marion never questioned Mr O Keeffe in depth.

She never said to him," Michael, all this stuff you are pointing out now was being pointed out 20 years ago- and nothing has changed -why ?"

Very difficult to put the toothpaste back in the tube.

'Syria' would probably be a better description than 'Angola'

"Can you blame the Minister?" says Marion, (in reference to Francis Fitzgerald and the recent Garda controversies.)

Marion was perfectly happy to blame Junior Minister Joe Jacob when there were no Iodine tablets available for a nuclear attack that never happened. She absolutely ruined him. Are there different rules cos it's Francis Fitzgerald?

Marion can barley speak this morning , on a purely practical basis , given that you need to be able to speak to be a broadcaster , she needs to be told quit the fags or sling your hook .

She's a woman of course, "all animals are equal but some animals are more equal than others " , could be Marion's epitaph.

In fairness to Callan, he has improved so much over the last few years. The Joe Duffy sketch he did this week (about the Citizen's Assembly debate) was hilarious.
