He was psyched out to the point of not even being able to make eye contact with McGregor, he stared at the canvas

He must have been psyched out to bits by Mendes (twice), Lamas, Edgar, Zombie, Brown, Edgar too then.

I wonder if he'll keep it together facing Holloway.

So no Conor at Artems big fight this weekend, with baby due I think thats more than understandable. But the surprising thing is no Kavanagh.

He's on a book tour in Australia, which has an air of paid jolly with a few days here and there on talk shows and the like.

For a gym that seems fiercely loyal you'd think he'd find the time for one of his longest standing members and biggest faces at the gym. I understand if he had commitments booked feb when the fight was announced but still, do the **** a week later? Its probably the only time Artem will ever headline a card.

If this was a Conor fight booked on 2 months notice, I'm gonna say that Sydney radio show could wait.

Aldo has 25 wins with 17 of them coming in either the UFC or WEC, 11 of them being wins in championship fights where he either won or defended a strap.

Conor has 21 wins, 9 in the ufc, 4 title matches (2 in the UFC) and zero defences.

Well I for one find wonders posts pretty well thought out and well written, especially compared to the drivel you've been posting lately

I would have thought that it was pretty clear.

Let's look at it in terms of value:

Wonder: Well researched, well written & informed posts, offering insight and value to the forum.

PREG1967: Massively ill informed, poorly written, displaying little to no knowledge of subject matter, constantly clogging up the forum with people having to correct you.

I honestly reckon you're trolling at this point...

but he references Aldo while referring to screengrabs with other fighters, he is no subject matter expect that's fo sho he made a fool of himself as he cant even read who was fighting, it says it on his screengrab does he know who Aldo is?

Your point was that Conor psyches out fighters, making them do things they wouldn't normally do.

You cited Aldo to back up your point. Incorrectly. Aldo stuck to his regular mannerisms pre-fight.

I tried to help you by citing Alvarez. Correctly. In every Main Event that Alvarez has been in, he stares directly at his opponent during ref instructions - Except against Conor where he looked away at Big John.

Whether it was Conor or the enormity of the occasion that got to Eddie is a different debate.

    You're welcome!

ok I think we can all understand what your intention was now but you erred in your understanding of the point i was making, my point was Aldo was psyched out and acted unusual throughout the whole pre fight period, including in the Octagon, he was beaten before the fight started <period>, I didnt mention any other fighter he has fought but you bring up a good point, perhaps he does it to them all!!

These people who dislike McGregor so much yet seem to follow him around on social media like disgruntled groupies.....is it a form of sado masochism or what ?

There's very little upside to being around these lads but it does bring into focus where Conor probably would have ended up if it wasn't for Mixed Martial Arts.

When he was pictured with David Byrne at the National Stadium before Byrne was murdered, people said "ah sure it was just a selfie". When the Dirty Dozen turned up for the Aldo fight and VIP after-party it was "ah sure it's a free world".

Conor surely realizes 11 people are dead on both sides of the Kinahan-Hutch feud in the past 12 months? 4-day-benders alongside very solid targets to be shot next isn't a bright idea.

I get it, a lot of them were/are his mates as a teenager but he's about to become a father, he doesn't need to be going on coked-up benders with those boys. The Byrnes and Kinahans have destroyed the lives of many decent ordinary families.

Will the usual contrarians please, for once, spare me some weird explanation on why this is all above board and normal to hang around with drug dealers and suspected murderers, thanks.

Articles like that are more dangerous than anything. They are seeking to sensationalise, provoke, insinuate, and look down on people. He went to Aintree. They went to Aintree. What was Conor supposed to do? Pretend he is not from Crumlin?

Why wasn't the article about Conor being in Time magazine?

The reality is Conor grew up in a different socioeconomic class than he is in now. He worked very hard, had good parents, and is an inspiration in terms of the discipline and dedication he applies to his life. Others went different paths. Some evil b#stards. Some just misfortunes that just fell. The bottom line is you don't forget where you came from, and also you can't. You shoot the breeze with these people. You recognise your commonality. You respect the environment you shared. Conor is not a f#cking politician on a mission to heal the world and be the moral compass. What these people do they don't do on Conors instruction or guidance. It's not Conors job to judge them or call them out. That's for the judicial system. Conor takes people as they are and as he meets them and as he knows them. Even God himself is reserving his position on judgment until the end of days.

I can tell you, from working with a lot of young offenders and their families in Limerick, respect is a big word. Conor is actually doing the right thing by not separating himself from the reality of what his community and circumstances were. His message thus speaks to anyone. Work hard, respect yourself, respect others, don't judge anyone, and rise up out of your situation.

A lot of young men in those communities view themselves as a piece of sh't just like those other pieces of actual sh't. It's not a good message from Conor to disassociate himself from where he came from and each and any person that makes up that place.

If you know anything about human nature, you will know you don't change people by looking down on them and forgetting where you came from. Conor is a very smart guy.

Ah yes, by glamourising their lifestyle he's actually rehabilitating them. Deluded thinking.

Stop speaking sense myshirt. Most posters in here don't take kindly to well thought out practical posts. You need to jump to conclusions, make wild accusations, gossip and hold our stars as moral pillars of society.

Please kindly think of this before you post again!
