    Hi we've just moved to the stillorgan blackrock area in Dublin and are trying to find a Montessori for our little girl - does anyone know anything about serendipity Montessori in stillorgan or Carbury Montessori in blackrock?

    This one might be of interest too - good reports from a family member;

    “Carbury can ask any parent to remove their child at four weeks notice without giving any reason for the decision”... they only tell you that AFTER they kick your child out, not necessarily at four weeks notice.

    Imagine our frustration. Whatever the reason is they are hiding it. When we started to ask questions our child was kicked out immediately without any notice.

    Our guess is either safety concerns, our son is very curios and already exposed a few, or another child on the waiting list is taking his place.

    Just to be clear, the policy doesn't mention anything about removing children.

    We have had a good experience with Monkstown Montessori (located in the Monkstown Quaker's Hall) and a slightly mixed experience with the Children's House in Stillorgan. Slightly because they almost bullied us into staying past the free pre-school year (which isn't free because almost everybody pays for the additional hours) and would not accept our decision. They are a good Montessori school, though, maybe just a bit too hard-core (with us or against us...).

    Monkstown Montessori might not be run by the same people anymore (we were there three years ago). Check if Olivia still runs it, then you are good to go :)
