I thought that aswell, worked for him.

Probably the best episode of this series, the way they brought Ian out was very well done...Ian is great craic!

Best episode in years. I was laughing from beginning to end and James Blunt was the right musical guest (not his best song, it was enjoyable though), but he's good craic, which complimented the banter Jackman, Stewart and McKellan were having very nicely.

Yeah, high calibre show as always. McKellan is a nut. I'd rather my license fee go straight to the Beeb TBH.

Say that to him on Twitter.

Great show. BeefStew is only bald on one head.

    Jackman's mom is loopy

Stewart- jackman- Mc Kellen show was the most entertaining ,relaxed and non egoistical show since Norton show began

That was just a few old friends chatting... the promotion of the movie went out the window after 5 minutes. Very refreshing!

    Probably that song he had...

Not sure what he could get over, but his dancing was fairly funny.

    Great show all the same.

That James Blunt song is f*cking terrible. :(

    Oh, i think it's beautiful-ly sung:D

Terrific show, with old friends & reminds me of a chatshow with similar traits in where the promo hardly got a word in & they just bantered away :D

& here's the two guys having a good chinwag:

Say that to him on Twitter. :p

Afaik, the last time he was on, i heard him say his parents are from the UK, may have something to do with GN saying 'Welcome to these shores'

    It's back, tonights guests...

    Michael Caine
    Morgan Freeman
    Jack Whitehall

I wanted Morgan and Michael Caine to stay for whole show

Take That three piece looks wrong and not a fan of new song

Though it was a poor episode, Caine and Freeman I had little interest inand they were not very interesting.

Yeah, disappointing, though Jack Whitehall could have quite funny, but very obviously his attempts fell flat because the others just ignored him.

Didn't warm to Warren what so ever found him very stale, thought Peter was very good and Maranda not bad either. Average show for me,thought the music was excellent.

Beatty certainly wasn't impressed with some of those questions

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 479 ✭✭mikeoneilly

Sloppy in fact to ask them

Tired questions like that were never going to add to the show

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 10,447 ✭✭✭✭volchitsa

Ah ok, yes the questions were a flop, weren't they, and predictably so, as you say.
I'd wiped them from my mind, TBH.

I thought it was only average, overall. All good on their own, but it didn't gel somehow. Capaldi was pushed out for some reason. His story about going to NY was a shocker to me, though.

Yeah, unusual from Graham to actually try yet alone include in the final cut, that awful questions segment. Not sure why he thought that would be good as it came across a bit patronising and something you'd see on a really bad teen show to fill time.

Average enough episode and next week doesn't look too much better in paper.
