Can't install ISDN on XP

My dad had an ancient gateway and I installed eircom isdn no probs on it. The modem provided by Eirom is a DrayTek MiniVigor 128. Hower, I got him a new Dell and I just cant get the thing installed!. I have downloaded the newest drivers from the site, but nothing seems to work. I am stumped, can someone please give me some pointers as to what the problem could be and how I can go about fixing it?

it's 50 euros and it works with xp and it gives better download and better pings to game servers get that a stick in the dell.

Just as a by the way has the Dell got service pack 1 installed

If the modem is working on the old machine it may well be a driver problem. Many of these f****** don't care when they give u a piece of hardware and don't provide the correct drivers so xp is probably too new.

Check the manafacturers website for drivers or go into Eircom with an automatic weapon and demonstrate your displeasure, they should then provide the correct drivers.

I have used mini-vigor fine on XP, both home and Pro.

(One machine is a Dell Laptop with XP Pro, SP1.)

Like many others, drivers are "not certified" but hitting "Continue Anyway" works fine. See explanation at: http://www.draytek.com.tw/faq/usbisdnta/ta_ms/ta_ms_winddows_pc_08.php

Current XP driver is available at: ftp://ftp.draytek.com.tw/MINIVIGOR128/WINDOWS/V1.42/WIN2000_XP.zip

If you get into trouble with mini-vigor installation, the simplest way is to remove the software completely (add/remove programs in control panel) and start again.
