    Hi

Having a party in a couple of weeks, and was wondering if people could recommend a (reasonably priced) good wine (red and white) and beer? ( Looking at keg or kegs if any good advice ;-))...
    Living in Dublin 15 area.

    Many thanks

    Maura

On the wine front, you should try to take advantage of one of the big supermarket deals on wine.
Tesco were (and might still be) running 6 bottles for 40 euros and 6 bottles for 50 euros.
That'd let you mix reds and whites.
In the 6 for 40 range the I20 brand have reds and whites which would be ok for parties, and in the 6 for 50 you can't go wrong.

If you have a Dunnes Card, I think they are running buy 6 bottles get 25% back in points.
Safe options would be Chilean merlot and cabernet sauvignon, and whites from Chile Sauvignon Blanc.
Pinot grigio from Italy would be a usual go to party wine option.

For something different, if there's a Carry Out off licence near you (they're in Blanchardstown, Hartstown, Tyrellstown and Charlestown), see if they have any Magnum (double size) bottles of Charlemagne for under a tenner.
It's actually a sparkling perry (pear cider) but if you add a piece of strawberry to it you have a really nice party drink.
If you ask most people what they're drinking they'd say prosecco!

Hope that helps get the party started...

Also, the Gallo range of reds, whites and roses wines are also very reliable for parties \ events.
Should be under a tenner per bottle and this weekend Supervalu have buy 6 bottles get 10 euros off.
Supervalu will probably do free delivery if you're buying a dozen bottles.

Edit: There's two euros off bottles of Gallo in Supervalu right now, they even have a Pineapple and Passion Fruit spritzer for 5 euros, and the other bottles are 8 euros each.
