Bob every question you have asked has been answered a dozen times over a number of threads. Take the time to read back through them theres so much valuable information from those who are further ahead in the process.

The entire 55-60 group has now done online learning but only the top scorers within that bracket say roughly from 58ish upwards have PCA dates so far. Theres over 300 people with scores of 55-60 so obviously not everyone can be processed at once.

The latest intake got down to 65.5 if i remember correctly.

FOIs are easy to do. Go to the whatdotheyknow website and follow from there.

Are there calls going out this week or would this set of calls be considered the skipped May intake?

I thought calls didn't go out to Easter week (19th)

FOI released saying out of 343 only 261 passed online training

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 464 ✭✭shanevendrell

Also states that 57.5 is the lowest to receive PCA date so far.

Way to go steal my spot light haha

That's a much higher number than I would have imagineed with regards to online learning,do you have link for foi?

I always just assumed everybody would pass the online, evidently not

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 464 ✭✭shanevendrell

I would say its more a case of people having moved on with their lives etc...

If someone failed their online learning do they get an email or notified in some way?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 21 rm2211

Also, if the numbers have dropped that much from online learning does this change intake dates for particular score brackets?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 464 ✭✭shanevendrell

Dont think so to be honest. Would say it will likely mean one squad less from this campaign though.

So everyone that passes remaining stages should in theory get an appointment

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 263 ✭✭RedPool2891

It would be interesting to see a breakdown of the remaining numbers by scores now.

Yea, that's what I was saying surely intake dates for certain score brackets may change with such a large decrease?

I would hope so. It could mean a small shift forward for some people in my eyes.

    My thoughts exactly.

Yea was just thinking that ,there time scales will have to adapt to the current numbers of people passed etc at each stage ,so hopefully the timescales to move forward slightly

Hey, I'm a recent lurker currently in campaign 1509. I have been reading the various threads and back pages of this one and it seems there is relatively high hopes from some people that all remaining candidates will be offered a place assuming they pass all remaining stages.

Is this based on something specific I have missed or is this just based on putting all the statements, FOI's and noises together and coming up with a strong feeling?

Cheers and good luck to all!

An FOI response said that it was their intention to exhaust the current merit list. I don't like that word intention, but I'm keeping my fingers and toes crossed.

Heard on radio today that new campaign isn't to start until the autumn, with major shift to influence more people of catholic background to join as numbers are still so low, if the new campaign isn't going to start until later in the year the chances of complete exhaustion of our campaign is highly likely. Also the PCA is down to 57.5 and I'm sat at 57.25, typical, however, still haven't started my fitness, all this waiting about is seriously driving me crazy haha, all the delays in our campaign have only made it worse.. Here's hoping the ball gets rolling again soon...

Yea I'm close to that score as well so patiently waiting;just want a pca date just to know they haven't forgot me haha sure post up if you hear anything ,assumed we would hear quick after online

For those of us with our PCAs this month they'll only be valid until October so to populate a November intake the next set of PCAs will likely be in May with an November expiry.

This makes sense cos our batch in the the waiting room are valid until August/September as we got the 4 month extension due to the cheating scandal.

Some of ours are only valid until June or July, which would mean we'll need to be in the next call or maybe the one after that. The potential start date in July makes it look like my PCA could expire 3 days before I'd be due to start. Fingers crossed I get the call for June!!

When did you do yours AfterEight? I had to retest in November. Also whats your AC score?

Mine was at the start of September. I almost wish I'd failed the first time so it would be valid for a bit longer now! I think I might be in the next 2 calls, which means it will either be no problem, or could have expired by a few days. How gutting would that be?!? And I scored 63.
