Spotify Family.. Anyone interested? [Threads Merged] [Mod Note in OP]

Just a heads up for anyone setting up a Spotify family after ending another premium subscription. This CAN create an issue with the new set-up, as happened to me.

I thought all was well with the new family premium account I began earlier this month, but suddenly (and with no warning) we were all reverted back to FREE accounts. I really thought the worst had happened and spent half a day going around in circles with troubleshooting, Tweeting and Facebook.

Finally managed to find a Spotify webchat (they have it very well hidden) where I was told the Paypal payment had not gone through, despite the full amount 'resting in my account'. The only option was to re-register everyone again, new codes, links, the lot! Such a PITA, but at least we're back now and the address issue didn't come up.

I have to say I'm totally paranoid about it now, especially as I worry about my 'family' members who might think I've done a runner and left them home alone!

I had the same issue happen to me last week, I had upgraded from a premium to family account, shared out to my new "family" about 2 weeks ago and then at the weekend got the "Please upgrade to Premium" with spotify on my phone, had to log out / log on via a PC for it to work again.

I'd like to get in on the act as well as I've been paying full whack for premium for about 2 years now and it's getting hard to continuously justify.

I've no problem setting the whole thing up so if people want to PM me I'll get it going.
