    Hi,

I need help with the following problem:

I have created a word doc with

    Page 1 - cover page
    Page 2 & 3 - table of ccntents
Page 4 and onwards - Actual content

What Iam trying to do is to get the page numbering to start on page 4 and for that page to be numbered page 1.

and for pages 1-3 to be blank.

Is there anyway for this to be done?
The only option I can get is for page 1 to be black or start at zero.

    I have tryed most avenues...

    thanks in advance...

    Hi BW,

You have to split the document into 2 sections. Go to the end of page 3, click Insert / Break, select 'Next Page' and click OK.

On page 4, click View / Header and Footer. Select the footer. On the footer toolbar, the third icon across is "Format Page Number". On this dialog box, you can specify the start page number.

    Hope this helps,
    Dave.
