European Comission Look To Disrupt Tv Rights

    Good afternoon everyone the European Comission are looking to disrupt football tv rights in the UK as the F.A. have fallen at the knee's of the Comission. The situation is as follows the European Comission are looking for the broadcasters in the UK to change their bids for TV rights in regards to the football being broadcast in the UK they wish for these broadcaster to re-submit two smaller bids for cheaper deals of games to be played at 1pm and 5.15pm on Saturdays, according to press reports. The move to split Saturday afternoon games into two comes after the EC threatened to intervene if Sky ended up with all the live rights to Saturday games. The EC wants to give terrestrial broadcasters a greater chance of securing live games after concerns that Sky would secure all three original packages.

    EU Seek to break Sky monopoly

    Would be a fairer title. Terrestrial (i.e. Free TV on Analog, DTT and Satellite) simply can't afford what Sky can pay.

    The payments have got obscene, as is Sports Fans in UK paying equivalent of €60 per month for what they used to get free.

    Since ITV is likely to join BBC as FTA, it will be good for fans in Ireland of Foriegn sport too as they will be able to save €30 permonth or €60 per month depending if they just cancel Sports or all of it.

    About time someone tried to cramp Murdoucks style
