Quick* clean done. Got the polish off just as the mist started.

Those A2s are very sought after in a certain trim from what I read on here ages ago.

    That's an A2 :)

There's an A1 in Limerick that keeps trying to race me...He's eastern European'd it up though so it's probably a rocket, mods include chrome trim all round (+30BHP), sprayed black original alloys (25BHP) and shark fin Ariel(50-60BHP) so it's pretty quick I guess.

Despite quick wash, she's still filthy, although on new (old) wheels. :D

I wonder how strict NCT testers are in terms of front wheels being a bit outside... ;)

I've been using tinypic.com myself. You can resize as needed.

Does that have 2494cc or 2493cc? Looking at VRT on Revenue site it only gives me 2493cc for the IF Sport model but all the IF Sports advertised I have seen all have 2494cc which seems standard.

2493 on the reg cert AD.

Yes it's an odd one, I looked at a few on Lexus.co.uk and Cargiant and all had it down as 2494, no harm either way once the VRT is as was online though.

I just checked on the official Lexus documents that came with the car and they say 2493.
Also checked the GOV.U.K. vehicle check and that said 2394.
    A bit weird alright.

I just noticed something while looking at the documents.
It's got 2 English reg numbers for my car.
The one I just discovered is T6CUK.
By any chance, is it a personalised plate or a garage one or something?

I didn't check by the plates, it was just what was documented in the descriptions on both sites, all were 2394.

    Here's one example
    http://usedcars.lexus.co.uk/en/used-lexus/Lexus/IS-300h/25-F-Sport-s4bexyn

Edit, just checked that plate on https://vehicleenquiry.service.gov.uk/ and it is indeed 2493 there so looks like that is the official figure and the adverts are wrong, would have thought Lexus would have had it 100% correct.

Any thoughts on why my car had 2 reg no's in the UK?
Sorry for derailing the thread a bit!!

    Btw that didn't last long!
I reckon the dirty båstard was waiting overhead somewhere until I finished washing it!!:pac:

One of the registrations was probably (definitely) a private plate

Cheers, was thinking something like that alright.
    T6CUK and it's coming up on Gov.u.k. as a Lexus registered in 2016 ( mines 2013)

Yeah that 2016 Lexus is probably the previous owners new car. Swap cars every three years and transfer the plate

So, as the Alfa repair nears it's third week, and the wait for a massive bill looms, the mighty Puglet is still effortlessly filling the role of everyday car. I'd been thinking the past two weeks that I was wise to push it aside and almost forget it in the shed for nearly 4 months, as doing 450 miles a week commuting was no place for a car like that, especially with the added benefit of early deafness from the stupidly loud exhaust I stuck onto it. But on Saturday, I gave up the prospect of afternoon pints to lie under the Pug, shout profanities, hit things with a hammer and get the old exhaust back on and its changed everything. The car, while utterly swamped but all manner of other traffic and lacking anything approaching driving comforts, is a pleasant place to be again. Possibly thanks to that 4 hours lieing on the driveway, I've been dieing with a Flu since and today gave me a chance to just go, clear the head and I fell back in love with the wee Puglet. A 15 minute blast turned into a full on assault on the Conor Pass and the entire Slea Head drive. I'd not felt so alive in a car in soo long it blew me away. 60 BHP stretched to the max blasting from bend to bend, non power steering flinging the 145 profile tyres from side to side in an instant, and the height of unrestricted visability to take in the scenery. The old girl takes on the NCT tomorrow, but I can't imagine it failing, but what happens next is now a massive headache. A proper engine would be a possible route, but then again its finding the balance of the need and the reality of having a second car that serves no logical use other than occasionally being used to clear the head and put a much needed smile on my face.

Initial garage diagnosed my issue as a faulty clutch master cylinder, but they were soo busy it took nearly a week before it was seen, and then it wasnt until the Monday that they called saying they couldnt do the job. Thus, it was trailered to the main dealer, and duly went to the back of their queue, waiting for them to get to it at some stage when parts finally arrive. I'm not overly concerned, they'll call when its done I suppose

You brought the Alfa to a main dealer? :o

Come to think of it I don't know an Alfa specialist in Cork though.....:P
