Ref putting Hartley back in his box. "I'm the ref, ask your coach" :D

Mike Catt is loving it as Haskell and Hartley getting a lesson in the laws

England whining to Poite...Lord above, surely they know the rules.

Can Poite please have a word with Nigel Owens who was 'coaching' far too much yesterday.

150 caps between Haskell and Hartley and they don't know the rules? Brilliant

  • Know the laws guys

This is a farce of how the English can't get their combined heads around the laws of the game and what the Italians are doing.

Even Poite telling them he is a ref not their coach.

Poite should bill the English for the coaching clinic

An England player is going to get in trouble here. Too many hot heads with this level and frustration.

    This is hilarious

Please Italy. Please don't fold in the second half.

How do the English not know this rule? And how do they not know how to counter it, very basic stuff. I remember doing this in meaningless end of year games in school

I'm enjoying this more that I should. Bless the England forwards

It'll be like an origami convention in the second half I'm afraid.

English coaches, players, and media don't have a clue what to advise.

From a side discussion on the Ireland thread, this is where I have a problem with too much referee help to a team. He is not their coach, or there to explain the rules. And should NOT do it. He is there to whistle and implement them. Not explain their mistakes or correct their lack of knowledge. That is Eddies job at half time. It is unfair to Italy, who identified a good ploy, that would unsettle England, and are executing it well. And should be allowed to do so until England figure out their own solution.
    I object M Poite.

There'll be a fair few junior rugby matches next Sunday implementing Italian tactics :P

My money's on Farrell, always throws a strop when the match ain't going their way. Ironically, he's my fantasy rugby captain for this game

England gradually working it out, hopefully Italy can get to half time with the same score

It's hard to believe that England don't actually know the rules.

Great break from Italy. And they have a penalty. Good on them.
