I was in the pub most of the afternoon. Coming hme in the taxi I hear Ray has the "Pull like a dog" bros, Tony McCoy and The Clare farmer with the four twins.

Fkin hell, RTE. The brothers and the calves have been done to death and Ray hates horse racing and gambling. No doubt he'll be up McCoys hole telling him how great he is and won't mention the gambling which keeps horse racing alive.

I almost never listen to him these days. He's on at the wrong time for me. There were two occasions when changing channel I did come across him. Once he was talking about Operation Transformation. Now the last time I tuned into him (last year sometime) he was also talking to someone about OT. Is there not anything new or imaginative about the prog that he seems to keep returning to the same programme. The other time I heard him talking to a guest in LA. And the one question I heard him ask was 'What is the weather like there today?'

This is as I was changing channels. It seems to me a very basic programme with a dull, boring agenda. So how come he apparently earns so much money for this?

Ah in fairness he was showing a lot of empathy for the poor guy who fcked up the oscars, as he manfully struggled to find the correct button to play the travolta clip he was thinking, in a parallel universe where limited talent gets you as far in Hollywood as it does in RTE, that could so easily have been him...

The sheer neck of D'Arcy, laughing at the competence of other broadcasters, every one of them who put him in the ha'penny place. He really should take a look at that sh1te that was put out on Saturday night if he needs to put things in perspective for himself.
