Also, Stongehenge is a stone circle, burren is a limestone pavement, Newgrange is a passage tomb. All three are only named differently from others of their kind.

I don't know anything about a second Giants Causeway, but paint.

    Right

Is it cheating to ask if it's X, Y or Z?

If you ask if it's X Y or Z, I can answer yes, and then you know it's one of three, or no and you then rule out three possibilities. I don't think that's cheating.

Wait Stongehenge is a bunch of things. Is the causeway?

I would consider stonehenge one unique thing so it possible, giants causeway I would probably rule out as it involves water. Other possibilties are mountains or castles (they wouldnt originally have metal would they?)

Early castles would primarily be stone and clay, moving on from wooden ones.

    Kilmainham(?) Jail perhaps

There's no paint protection whatever it is

Nothing to do with water and man made would rule out the giants causway and cliffs of moher... not a castle also rules out a lot of landmarks.

Its unique to ireland but man made has me stumped a little. Was thinking something like the gpo but obviously it has metal in it and is it unique to ireland? Not really

  • Moderators, Recreation & Hobbies Moderators Posts: 16,287 Mod ✭✭✭✭quickbeam

Question was: "Is it normally made of metal?" which would be a no, for something like the GPO.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 14,441 ✭✭✭✭Kolido

There are quite a lot of old neolithic and megalithic ruins around Ireland and you could include cathedrals and old buildings primarily made of stone. With 1 or 2 guesses left I doubt we will get this one.
