    Hi folks

I have a business visa debit card - I am purchasing some fixtures and fitting soon, value circa €5,000 - I'm just wondering could I use my visa debit card to purchase a large one off transaction of €5,000, providing the funds are in my account ?

I know with my personal bank a/c with P TSB the max visa debit purchase allowed per transaction is €1,500.

This would save my having to write cheques.

    Thanks and regards
    Joe

    Hi Joe,

Thanks for contacting us on Boards.

Yes you can use your Visa Debit card up to the available funds in your account. For a large transaction such as this the retailer may need to contact their own bank to authorise the transaction.

Please let us know if we can help with any other query.

    Thanks,
    Sarah
