Is it worth setting up Dublin bus and DART replicas in other counties.

We all know Dublin bus and the DART isn't as good as it could be, but the routes and timing are usually pretty good.

Would it be worth having a Dublin BUS and DART replicas in other counties such as Galway, Cork and the now emerging Limerick. You could scrap bus eireann from these counties, create a greater variety of routes and have a better transport system on good economic counties.

Having good infrastructure such as transport would be a reason for companies to set up and relocate outside of Dublin, and people wouldn't need to live in the city if there is transport to get then into the city. The selected counties would massively be from this imo.

Sounds good if there are enough paying passengers for it to make a profit.

The problem with all our cities is people not living in then. We've got to stop the urban sprawl not keep encouraging it.

Finish the DART in Dublin first. Half the existing lines aren't electrified.

OP what would be the difference between a Dublin bus replica and the city services that bus Eireann already run ic Cork, Galway, Limerick, ans Waterford?

Also have you heard of the gluas proposal?
