"the coming week" will probably be Friday at 4. UL are so ambiguous with this kind of stuff, bit like 'you'll get it when you get it'

"The coming week" was actually not quoted. That was my own way of saying what I was told. I was just told this week basically but we'll see.

Getting impatient with it now. Don't even have a good reason to want my timetable, I just want it!

Academic Officer just said (in the ULSU Class Reps page) that the timetables will be out this Friday, bit of a wait, ah well

They're here! Mine is okay, a bit spread out but didn't get hit with loads of 9ams. It does however mainly consist of four 2hr blocks and one 3hr lecture :(

10-6 straight on Mondays and Fridays again haha I am so annoyed. Have work at 7 on Saturdays too. This semester will be a trek and a half

Seems to be gone for me now too. Both the official timetable.ul one and tt.daniel.ie - but it was there! I swear!

Not at all. I know I have at least one repeat and a possible second :(

This semester has been awful and I'd be delighted if I only had the one repeat.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 1,277 ✭✭✭Chris Martin

If I can avoid a repeat I'll be elated.
A D2 is the best I can hope for in the module working it out in my head and I'm sure I was generous. Attended all the lectures and tutorials but the maths modules are definitely my weak point.
A repeat isn't the end of the world because given time and predictability of repeat paper, I'm likely to reach the capped C3 and raise QCA but I'd like to avoid the hassle and costs..

I'm in danger of a repeat as well. Had one in August too. Thought I was in the all clear on results day, then I got the dreaded 'you need to repeat' email about 2 minutes before results came out.

Best of luck to everyone today. A repeat isn't the end of the world, you'll still be alive come 8:05 :)

Results weren't in any way good and my QCA is poor but I passed with all Bs and Cs.

I was told this was a bad semester for our QCA so hopefully next semester I can bring it up

Never have I been happier to see a D2 in my life.
Put in a decent second semester and can still get what I need.
    Delighted :D
    B's for the other 3 exams, 1, 2 and 3 :P

B3 B3 and C2, happy enough...lecturers propped us all up a bit. If you fail don't forget to look at your paper you might regret not doing it over the summer. System is f**ked that way, now to do some FYP before March..

I was fully convinced that I was going to fail at least 1 of the exams and have to repeat. Glad to say that I didn't and my lowest mark was a C2 so I'm absolutely delighted!

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 1,139 ✭✭✭Anonymagician

4 As and a C - disappointed with the C but at the same time only expected to get one A so it balances out! Delighted overall, this is the first semester results count for me.

Did everyone who failed a module get an email first telling them they needed to repeat.

Some people get emails and some others don't. Don't know why, my friend failed two modules last year and never got an email.

Thanks for that, just never got an email and failed one module I didn't expect to fail, was hoping it was a typo ha

Is there somewhere to get a suit pants dry cleaned on campus?

There's a drycleaner in the courtyard, in the archway leading to Main Building.

Perfect, I wasn't sure if that was just a laundrette.

The on-campus dry cleaners just send it to the place beside the Hurlers, quicker and cheaper to just bring it there yourself.

I registered for my modules this morning but I still don't have access to my sites on Sulis, does it take 24 hours or is it that the sites haven't been published?

I think it's updated overnight, might even take two. Wouldn't worry too much about it for the time being.
