Planning Search

    Is it necessary to pay for a planning search on a Co. Council built house in a housing estate, the fact that it is council built, would I be wasting my money?.
    Secondly, as the house is Council built, and the current owners have spent a lot of money on it, lots of improvements inside and out, would I be wasting my money getting a structural survey done? the house is not that old, my guess 30 odd years. Thanks, Rob
