Damn the code isn't working today

I just bought a Smoant Battlestar mod on GB for €32. There's a flash sale on there now. Even if I did get hit with customs it'll still be cheap for a decent mod.

I got the brushed silver, so if it scratches easy won't notice :D After my experience with the Alien! Which has just decided to die :/ hence this purchase. All the reviews on this mod seem to be very positive.

I chose Dutch post for the extra quid, apparently it helps speed up delivery. We'll see :) Last GB purchase for me was the Tesla nano and I got it in 10 days.

I went Dutch as well, somebody mentioned it a few weeks ago & said it was a fast shipping option,we'll see :D:D

Do yous mostly go for china stuff from gearbest? Or is it just the cheapest? never used them before

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 6,756 ✭✭✭Thecageyone

I have heard the Dutch post option is most likely to avoid customs too.

I rarely order from China tbh, when I do GB seems as good as any. And I'd only buy during a sale.

I can tell you who NOT to buy from though - Tinydeal ... ordered stuff from them over a month before Christmas and it's still not arrived.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 538 ✭✭✭chipfox

I mean from chinese vendors on gearbest. Seems like >95% of the stuff there is from china. Just wondering does anyone ever go for the eu warehouses on the site

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 6,756 ✭✭✭Thecageyone

Oh right, nah just the China WH, they're more likely to actually have stock. I was going to order a phone from them via EU warehouses, but ended up getting one on adverts for not much more and had it within 2 days. Any thing vape related I ever checked on there was only stocked in China. You'd probably find the EU stock will be pricier. A lot of the time approaching UK prices.

Their "sale" prices look higher than regular fasttech prices...

Depends what you're after. The Mod I just bought from GB worked out cheaper than FT [$5 cheaper inc the bit extra for Dutch delivery]. But, as ever, it's best to shop around of course

Just so you know there is a new Fasttech 15% code: TOAST

    New Year offer valid: 31 December 00:00 to January 2, 2017 23:59

That's US time. On the christmas promo I picked up a vt167 for €75, less than the cost of the dna250 board.

Just an update on delivery times.
I ordered some stuff on 24th Dec.
It was shipped on 29th Dec and arrived yesterday (11th) so not too bad.
    No customs involved this time.

Just a reminder for those that don't order from China regularly.

Official holiday for FastTech: 10 days from January 24, 2017 to February 2, 2017. All services resume on February 3, 2017 at 9:30am Hong Kong Time.

The whole country basically shuts down for 2 weeks and it takes another couple of weeks for production to get back to normal.

Anything not shipped before 15 -16th of Jan will most likely not get here until mid March.

Customs will add that to the value of the package!!!

Nice ship times from China though!

    Will that work for liquids?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 935 ✭✭✭jousting with chairs

4 days is excellent, don't know if that's the norm though, will try another after the CNY to see but they will be backlogged for a while.

Sing Post is the only carrier for liquids AFAIK and they usually take 2-3 weeks for delivery.

The express post option never added the value to my package. Missed the postie today now I have to wait until monday... Grrr. Still took 12 days though

Been waiting 21 days for a delivery from Fasttech via Singapore Post.

Good value if you are in no hurry. However, in this instance I wish I had paid the extra and bought in Ireland.

Yeah I've ordered loads of stuff over last few months with all sorts of postage options and 4 weeks is quickest delivery I've gotten. Just tried that Ireland Express ePacket for the first time on something I ordered yesterday so will see how that goes?

    What did you order?
I never seem to get the option with stuff I buy from FT .

I ordered a 5 pack of eleaf coils and a dummy security camera and selected Ireland Express ePacket. Also ordered a couple led lighting items at the same time in a separate order and selected PostNL so will be interesting to see which arrive first and how long they take?

I generally throw in a bottle or two of juice with any order I make so that's probably why I only get Singapore post as an option.

Ordered for the first time off Fasttech last Wednesday and used the Ireland Express ePacket. The order arrived today. Very impressed. Didn't order juices.

New record from Fasttech. Placed order 9th May, arrived this morning. Didn't actually ship until the 12th. Can't complain about that.
Order was for a bunch of various coils plus some random cables.

Got 2 packets from FT yesterday. Both same size and SG Post. One took 14 days the other 48 days. Go figure. ( these days are counted from the time they came up on SG Post tracking system. )

    🧐IMHO, God wants us all to ENJOY many,many ice-creams , 🍦🍦🍦🍦🍦🍦🍦🍦🍦🍦🍦🍦
