i urgently need to know the local bank code for a transfer

tried the sort code and the BIC but my bank says this is not correct and they need the local bank code. i am trying to do a transfer from overseas to Ireland

You'll need the BIC and IBAN.

Hi audreye, thanks for getting in touch.

For Euro transfers you’ll need the BIC and IBAN, the link that me_irl has posted will allow you to calculate the IBAN for the account in Ireland. Bank of Ireland’s BIC is BOFIIE2D for accounts in the Republic of Ireland.
