ZGEMMA H.2S box is frozen.

I was watching something I recorded & it just froze. It comes up in the top left hand corner that it's buffering but when that's there, none of the buttons on the control work. The clock on the box is stuck at 21.30. Does anyone know what I can do to sort it? I was told to never plug it out & the bloke who I got it off is 90 km away so I can't see him rushing over to sort it out.

If it were mine I'd unplug it, if it was mid reflash or something I'd be wary but not if it's just stuck as you describe. But maybe the person who told you not to unplug it knows a good reason that I don't.

Oh well, give me an easy life and a peaceful death.

I specifically asked him about when we go on holiday & he just said to never plug it out. I won't either, in the hope that it's back on in the morning, which I doubt. It's been nothing but trouble since the day we got it. Well, that's an exaggeration but it's a pain in the arse.

I'm gone to bed now. Should it restart as normal if I do it in the morning?

I don't even know what 'flashing it' means. Thanks for the offer, though. Are you online in the morning? I'm in bed now & am just sick of it at the moment.

Was thinking of picking one of these up as a fta box. Mind me asking how I'd know if a box is a clone of not? Is there a dealer I should use to avoid a close?

    Avoid them, they're rubbish boxes.

    Go for an Edison.

I got on to the bloke who provided me with the boxes this morning. He wouldn't answer my call (again) but did, however, have the decency to reply to my text. He told me to unplug it for a minute & plug it back in. The exact thing he told me not to do the day I bought it from him. I told him that the boxes are crap & that they're not up to the standard that I was expecting, or was led to believe. He said I must be doing something wrong & that I'm the only person complaining out of thousands if customers. I find that very hard to believe. A bloke around the corner is having issues with the same type of box from him.

Them and openboxes. Dodgy boxes from dodgy sellers. (not all obviously, I'm sure there are decent ones out there, but minority)

Absolute rubbish:mad:. A family member has an Openbox for the past 2 yrs And I have one for past 6 months. Excellent boxes.

    :)

Using mad smiley over my post? OK, seems a bit OTT, but OK.

Dodgy boxes as in what they are used for, unless you telling me that you use it as a free to air box. ;)

Openboxes are just cheap boxes an iffy seller from done deal or adverts can overcharge you for with a "gift". (vomit) That's all they are, not great boxes, not particularly user friendly, lots of better boxes out there but they serve a purpose.

I'm glad you are happy with yours, and your relation or whoever is happy, it doesn't affect my opinion of the equipment, and I'm sure my dislike of the box and opinion of it won't affect your enjoyment in using your openbox for many months to come.

Your definition of excellent is different to mine is all.

Oh well, give me an easy life and a peaceful death.

It worked. Still have no films or boxsets after having them cut off last Wednesday. So now, I still just have the Sky channels. The screen keeps freezing like mad, though. I was watching The Chase earlier & it froze. When it came back, the was a difference of 53 seconds on the clock.

It sounds like your sub/gift is crap get back on to the seller and demand it fixed or refund

H2s are good boxes . If the usb/hard drive are not set up properly you'll run into problems.

Best image for them are ipab imo, flash it with that If you can you won't regret it.

I got on to him yesterday & told him that I wanted all the content back very soon or my money back. I said it in 3 different texts so as to make sure there was no confusion. I had the films & boxsets back an hour later. It's amazing what asking for your money back can do...

It's the most user friendly software for the box I've came across. Great Facebook group for it to.

Presumably I'd need to get someone who knows what they're doing to install this software? I'm aware you said that it's user friendly but I wouldn't want to do anything to mess it up. It's not like the bloke who sold me the box is any good to me if I made a balls of it.

Thread closed. Obvious that the OP is not using for FTA purposes.
