Again, allow me to apologise for snapping. I thought you misread my post ... but it was I who misread yours :P The ironing is delicious. It just seems strange to me that the videos are such high space !!

I dismounted the camera there and lowered the "resolution" and changed the zoom slightly. Hopefully that'll fix it.

Not really fixing the issue. You may need the extra resolution if something happens. Buy a 16 or 32gb card at the very least.

Sorry for asking this question as I'm sure it's been asked a million times but I but I'm not up to date on what available out there these days.
I've had an Eprance g1w for the past two years (€60 including 32gb card from amazon). Really happy with it and was thinking of getting one for the missus.
Is there anything else around that price range that has came out since I bought mine.
I'd be happy buying another g1w but thought I'd ask in here first if there has been anything better released.

    Thanks

Looking to pick up a dash cam over the xmas and have my eye on the Nextbase range, the 312 and 402 to be specific each priced at €94 and €119 in halfords. Reviews on the halford website seem to rate them highly enough but i thought id check here.

Was also looking at the Xiaomi Yi but i remember reading here months back about no English language setting ?

Is there anything else decent or better out there for around the 100 quid mark that i should look into ?

Main criteria is that it has good picture quality and not overly complicated to use.

They've since released an international version of the Xiaomi Yi which is an English version, so if you do buy, make sure its that one. You can also download an app to connect to it via WiFi to download any videos, and the supports English too.

I've a Nextbase and I am very happy with it. My only gripe with it was card access that is at the top but I'm not removing it on a daily basis anyway. I see even on the entry level models they have changed it to left side access. If buying again I'd get the Nextbase Duo model (below) to have forward and rear facing cameras.

The 312 is excellent. I have one myself.
Got it from Halfords a couple of weeks ago & very pleased with it.

Will be looking for something like this for my next one.
although I'd rather have the camera in the back window .
or use my current cam in the back.
I'd be afraid that the rear would wouldn't see much .

I picked up a Cobra CDR 895 D in BestBuy last week. Was considering a DashCam for a while but the Chinese stuff on Amazon are over featured and lack credibility. Wasn't sold on the Halfords options either. Picked up the Cobra for $110 got an employee discount and blagged the tax off for export.

Will throw up some sample footage later. So far seems pretty good. Got HD 1080 and 720 to the rear. Have a Cobra hardwire kit and parking mode too which was a priority above any Wifi gimmicks or Gps.

Yes that happened to me once, reset the camera and download update again if necessary.Use a small paper clip to insert in the small hole next to the memory card slot and hold down until the voice comes on again ( about 10 seconds)

Looks good - but I'd be beyond shocked if that wasn't made in China as well.

Hi all, just grabbed a Nextbase 312GW Dashcam as a Christmas present for someone and have just realised it doesn't come with a memory card.
    http://www.halfords.ie/technology/dash-cams/dash-cams/nextbase-dash-cam-312gw?cm_re=technologyslides-_-espot+1-_-dashcam79

I see Halfords sell them for €18 but is there anywhere else they can be picked up cheaply and is there any particular format or type to be used or can I just buy use any old SD card I might have lying around?
    Thanks and safe driving.

I thought 64 was the max but I just found 128 stated as the max here.

Anyone know if this is the correct app to download for the M6 Plus? When I try to download the recommended app from the DDpai website an APK downloads all right but it's a full on Chinese security app of some sort with no DDpai branding or obvious Dashcam functionality.

    I'm a bit confused.com.
