Forgetting about non FPL tactics for now, its still the case that for now Firmino is a pretty dud Fantasy asset as things stand. It seems unlikely that will change as Origi is scoring goals up front. Is holding Firmino not flogging a dead horse a bit, with the way the team is set up and likely to remain set up till Coutinho returns.

    Non FPL ?

Firmino is probably Klopp's first name on the teamsheet followed by Lallana.

So worst case scenario you have a midfielder playing one of the front 3 roles guaranteed a start.

Origi seemed to be a fav of Klopp's early in his reign and is currently scoring goals. My biggest mistake was not bringing Origi in sooner.

I didn't piece the puzzle together quick enough when Coutinho got injured. By the time Coutinho gets back then Mane will be gone. I think Origi stays in the team now until Coutinho, Mane and Firmino are all available and even then, if he keeps scoring, he could be a mainstay by seasons end.

Firmino to Payet as planned (damn you Payet for scoring against 'pool and getting in to people's minds). No points hit (for a change). Seriously tempted to Payet(C) but will probably do Kane(C) against hapless Hull

Worth doing a -8 for the following? Have seen red arrows the past couple gameweeks.

    Lovren > Alonso
    Pedro > Payet
    Deeney > Origi

Or could do Pedro > Spurs mid and upgrade Deeney to Benteke or someone <8mil

Gonna take a punt on Jones - finally getting rid of Kingsley!

My day long pontificating has come down to Payet vs Pogba (to replace Firmino).

Is bringing in the world's most expensive player considered a punt?? ;-)

Not convinced by Payet this season, and Pogba is almost 1m cheaper. ManU are surely going to seriously batter someone soon and have easy looking fixtures from now until February (apart from Liverpool).

Any United fans/watchers care to advise me? Have really only seen them on motd

I'm a United fan and watched all the recent games, he's very busy in each without much end product, has a chance of a goal or assist but not too regularly (also hit the post from a great free kick v Spurs).
When Mhkytarian is back after this GW, he's a much better option if you're looking at a United midfielder. He plays to the right of a front 3 and looks to have serious assist/goal potential.
Pogba plays in MF and won't have as big returns IMO, so if it's between him and Payet for you, I'd go Payet.

Ya know that might be a great idea!!

Looked very good over last few games and they have some what handier fixtures coming up. to.

Plus hes only 4.7. Could be worth it as he looks the type of player Jose likes in there.

+1 though a caveat he has a history of breaking down and getting injured so if getting him in look to have a full compliment of playing defenders (especially useful over the festive fixture period anyway)

Is Zaha going to be playing in ACON in January?

Is Zaha going to be playing in ACON in January?

A quick wiki tells me this.....On 27 November 2016, the Ivorian Football Federation confirmed that Zaha had sent correspondence to FIFA to switch his international football allegiance from England to the Ivory Coast. In response to this development, Gareth Southgate indicated he would try to persuade Zaha from changing allegiance due to his consistent club form

I guess it's still unclear, though it does look likely

I wouldn't sell Firmino yet but I did sell Walcott for Alli.

    Williams out for Phil Jones.

This will be my next FT.

Hardly worth a - 4 this week is it, do you think?

Firmino & Pedro > Payet & Antonio done. I already have Walker and Kane, so all my eggs are in a Spurs/Hammers shaped basket.

I'm in a money league which finishes on the first weekend of Jan...need a differential or two to make up some ground...I'm hoping West Ham will give me that.

Yeah, that was my thinking - could see him rested for the early new year game for example. But he should start more than Kingsley hopefully!

The injury threat is a BIG worry with Jones, though he has actually started 7 games I think now which is a decent spell for him so fingers crossed.

I think Jones' attitude in stepping up/coming in with no prep when United were having an injury crisis in defence will have done him the world of good in Jose's eyes and he might stick by him over Smalling if he stays fit.

Think I am going to get in Rose for Williams. Leaves me with 3 Spurs & some nice fixtures

I've had a look again at a trademark FHFC ridiculously top heavy team with Ibra, Costa and Kane up front, and with Lallana as Liverpool mid enabler, and Pedro as Chelsea mid enabler it doesn't look half bad.

3 transfers away, so my well bank it and do that next week. Or would Firmino to Lallana this week be likely to see a gain?

I'd be careful with Lallana as he's played 30 and then 90 minutes coming back from injury.

He might not get 90 in next 2 matches. In fact I've just had a look at his minutes all season. Only played 90 on 5 occasions. I think he's looking at a few 70 minute spots over the next few games especially because of recent injury.

Deeney (FINALLY) and Fletcher out for a -4 ... Alli and Carroll in

I hate Andy Carroll, fully expect him to burn me, but red arrows the past couple of gameweeks so time to start taking some risks

    Firmino gets another chance...

No, he doesn't....swapped him for Eriksen last night, so -4 hit and am away now til 9pm, thank God, will be no more tinkering

Firmino, should he stay or should he go?

If he goes for who, Eriksen, Alli or Payet?

West Ham and Spurs have two nice fixtures coming up

The fplord works in mysterious ways... went back into team and hadn't confirmed.

    So did
Mané, Pedro, (my beloved) Benteke to
    KDB, Philips, Vardy

Let's get this party started. Up to 490k from 1.3M 3 weeks ago and this move will either see me plummet again or push on.

Considering Firmino and Can out - Alli or Eriksen and Antonio in.
Feels a bit knee jerk though but unless a change of formation tomorrow night, I can see Firmino struggling again.

Tempted to bank my transfer,Mata was for the chop but now Mkhitaryan is out I reckon Mata will play.

The other choice if I use a transfer is Pedro to Antonio, the only Spurs mid I can afford is Son.
