A bit of common courtesy in situations like that is to let cars merge from the side roads into the queue, for example if every third driver let one in from the side and merging drivers only tried to merge after three had passed, things would go smoothly.
But all it takes is one who tries to force their way in in front of someone who refuses to let anyone in to result in the video above.

Doors got locked when I saw that getting out of the van.

Not the smartest thing getting aggro with another driver when you've a business name on the side of your car

the first clip of note from my new cam

Thought the car on the left would pull out in front of me .. just spotted the runner on the right in time and the blast of the horn stopped him in his tracks !

Only exempt when on a call. No blues and twos.

Naa mate, have a look at the law. They're exempt from certain provisions of the RTA all of the time. Similar to Gardai/Ambulance.

I'm the exact same if you bully I won't let you out. When she pushed in I muttered "Ignorant F**king B*tch" and when she was still in her car pointing in front of her as much to say I'm going straight or whatever I mouthed "so, it's not my problem" and said "camera" pointing at it. Other than that I didn't look at her while she was hopping at the side of the car I locked the doors kept eyes front and told her a few times to step away from the car while pointing at the cam. I couldn't make out what she was saying and it's probably best.

I do know when I came around the bend were the silver car was trying to sneak in from the right there were no cars behind and it got out behind me, so it wasn't as if there was a long queue.

Dublin Airport roundabout - sitting at a red I see and hear a fire appliance with blues and twos on approach from the Cloghran direction. Figure the light I'm waiting on will go green just it's due pass through, I stay where I am. Those to my right don't, hence the uh oh by the Hyundai.

I don't know why you just didn't let her merge. In all fairness, the guy in front of you probably should have let her in and you were being as much a bully trying to not let her merge.

I don't know what you expected to achieve by pointing at your camera.

She was a knob though to jump out of the car like that. My guess is though, she must have had a reason............

Almost catastrophic merging and lane hoggers left, right and centre ... on a nearly-deserted motorway.

The RSA should genuinely have a "put the boot down" campaign. For fuck sake the amount of people who are afraid of the accelerator pedal is astonishing. dfeo's video is case and point of this.

It is okay to accelerate hard, especially when entering a motorway, or 100km/h road. Not doing so is what causes accidents.

Not the greatest example of merging and im sure ill be shot down for voicing an opinion but here goes anyway.

Middle lane looks to be empty, why not just pull out into middle lane, overtake the merger then pull back in?

Or was the white van that appears in lane 3 as you beep the horn in lane 2, blocking you from changing lane?

^^ That merger was a clear example of someone not wanting to get close to the speed limit for fear of going over it. Ridiculous and dangerous.

Why didn't you just pull into the middle lane to allow the first car to merge onto the motorway?

2:23 The lorry is drifting over the white line as you're passing it as well in that clip.

The worst example of merging I ever saw was on the M50 when somebody actually stopped at the bottom of the slip lane and indicated to pull onto the motorway as if they were coming out of their driveway.

He doesn't have to do that. The car in question should be able to merge its not that difficult.

I don't like calling posters out in here, but this kind of thing annoys me.

We know he doesn't legally HAVE to move over, but I always try my very best to if I can. Why create a dangerous situation where there doesn't have to be one.

Also, speed increased from 112-113kph up to 117kph just after the driver indicated.

I'd say she saw the checkpoint and turned away from it
