I quite like it but bloody double sponsor ruins it

Not a fan. I'll still buy it though.

Dunno what to think of it.... Need to see it in action. We will probably see a new away jersey too seeing with the change of sponsor (well not a change, a branding change)

I reckon that will come out next year. Pretty sure the current away jersey came out a year after the last home jersey.

The last release was December 2014 Home and Away was Feb 2015. I'd expect something similar this time around unless they just change the sponsorship on the black jersey until 2018.
Just checked the O'neills website and there are no Mayo jerseys listed so that could mean two new kits.

That design is kinda growing on me the more I look at it.

It's definitely one of the more interesting shirts available.

I think it's a great jersey. Very impressed

The back of the shirt is awful.

The back should be entertaining alright . Just to give Mayo's opposition players something to admire as the Mayo players go flying past .

It's not too bad from the front alright but it really looks like the back was designed in isolation and is horrible.

A return to the predominantly white away shirt with that red stripe and some green trim really would be the business.

I saw the new jersey in the shop today and it didn't look as bad in real life as it did online, but I still don't love it. Back to the white of 1951, I say!

Wasn't the white in 1951 a Connacht jersey?

As both Mayo and Meath played in predominantly green they switched to provincial colours to avoid a clash.

Well done to the masters, won the All Ireland yesterday v Cavan.

So in seven finals this year Mayo won two.
Next year they might win more.

Seven finals is a lot to get to all the same.

    Edit - Silly me I forgot the u 21 footballers !

    Eight finals and three wins.

Bought the new jersey as a Christmas gift for my nephew and niece. It has definitely grown on me.

RIP Willie Casey one of the greatest to have ever worn the green and red.

I saw in the paper that Diarmuid O'Connor tore his hamstring playing for DCU. I would have thought he'd have been better taking some time away from football for a couple of months. It's been a problematic year for him injury-wise and he's only 21. He needs to be given proper time to rest and recover. His year has been non-stop.

Wasnt he awarded a scholarship a year or two ago so i doubt if he could have taken a rest from college football.

Whatever about college, I certainly want to see him and other starters from 2016 rested for the league, regardless of the consequences for Div 1 status.

Peter Burke is now a selector on the Mayo management team replacing Sean Carey.

Good man Tom, people this side of the world have stopped talking about the potato blight and abacus factories.

Yeah - they went on sale at 11,00am. Got a cairde maigheo season ticket for 200. They were all gone in minutes; not sure how many were available in total.
