Nakon Thai in Douglas

    Anyone know what happened to Nakon Thai in Douglas. They shut down recently, just wondering are they renovating or relocating or did they just pull the plug?

    They're gone completely - on August 1st they posted the following on facebook:
    To all our good friends and customers, I would like to inform you that Nakon Thai Restaurant as and from 31st July 2016 has closed for business, we would like to thank everybody for their custom and support over the years, Kind regards from The Owner, Management, and Staff.

    Would highly recommend the Golden Elephant as an alternative thai restaurant in Douglas. Its a few doors down from the South County towards the Woollen Mills. Genuine Thai staff. Very happy with what we've had from there ( we only use it as a takeaway but there is a dining area there )

    Pass by there every day , looks like there's New tenants moving in, called 12Tables I presume a restaurant.

    It's twice the size as Nakon as they appear to have taken the former printer cartridge shop too.
