Slightly off topic. Can you still get free delivery to ROI from Amazon?
I have 4 items in basket. 3 sold and despatched by Amazon and one fulfilled by Amazon. It's trying to charge £8 for delivery. All are 'Eligible for FREE UK Delivery'.
Even if I get rid of the item fulfilled by Amazon and up the quantity of other items sold by Amazon (to keep order >£25), I am getting charged £10 for delivery. One item is an add on item, does this make a difference?
Amazon is a nightmare compared to how easy it used to be.

I had this recently on a £40 order the over £25 item was free delivery and they added on £8 for delivery for the remaining items and then took it off as an £8 promotion (all items were eligible for free UK delivery)? So I didn't pay for delivery but at first glance it looked like postage had been added to an order I had opted for free delivery.

Thanks. Maybe I'll try it on the laptop instead of the app and see what's up.
There's your problem. I ordered something via the app two days ago, and it seems to default to Standard Delivery rather than Super Saver. If you scroll down the confirmation page you can change the method of delivery. They've probably made a pretty penny from people not noticing that.

As an example of how good the service can be when Amazon.co.uk use An Post, I made an order of three items total about £28 with free Super Saver delivery on Friday (26th) at lunch time, the order was dispatched early evening on the same day and arrived at my door with the postman before lunch today Monday (29th).

Is it any wonder that people give out when a similar parcel sent with Asendia takes at least a week longer to arrive and may hit other road blocks along the way.

Amazon are becoming unusable. Their tracking is essentially non existent for most of my recent orders, their estimated delivery dates are farcical and the delays in getting simple items are useless.

I pre-ordered a game over a month ago, it's live from midnight tonight, got an email this morning to say it was dispatched today (why not last week) and that it would take 2 more weeks to get here. I got straight on the phone to them to cancel the order but she said she couldn't refund me because it had not yet actually been dispatched. Surely it would be easier to cancel the order before it's dispatched anyway.

I've other stuff that's already been deliver that my amazon account says won't be here for another 5 days and every order now with multiple items is coming in dribs and drabs rather than a few things packaged together.

I'll be looking elsewhere soon enough. The saving that you used to get with Amazon aren't as good anymore and if their delivery system falls apart then it loses all reason for being.

Has anyone ever got in contact with them and managed to locate an undelivered parcel? My parcel seems to be missing too

An Post actually, That's iParcel that forwards it on to Fastway not Asendia.

Don't bother contacting the courier, just give Amazon a call or use the online chat and get them to do the chasing. Amazon don't tell you exactly why some stuff gets lost and some of it is definitely due to incorrectly printed address labels but most of those items get returned. If the item is late Amazon will often refund on the spot or send again.

Pre-ordered two games. It was only after they dispatched the courier was identified as Asendia and the estimated delivery time jumped from 5 days to over two weeks. First game is now overdue.
Contacted Amazon and told them I wanted to cancel the orders and get a refund, which has been processed even though I haven't even got the parcels yet. If/when they arrive I will send them back to amazon.
I'm not even that annoyed I don't particularly have to have the games now. Just think it's a ****ty way they are doing business.

Nothing new from Asendia. Pre-ordered a DVD, due for release tomorrow, with an estimated delivery of the 18th-19th. That was until it was assigned to Asendia, upon which that date jumped to the 29th

I ordered three items from Amazon on 17th, two are being sent by DHL and are scheduled to arrive next Friday 25th. The other item is coming via Asendia and delivery is scheduled for 4TH OF APRIL, ten days later and two and a half weeks after the order was placed. This is surely a joke!

I ordered a PS4 game from amazon on the 11th of March. It shipped on the 12th but with an estimated arrival date of the 29th. This seemed very long to me at the time but alas as of today it still hasn't arrived.

I don't know what Asendia are doing but I can't fathom how long it takes for items to get to Ireland. I've had very positive experiences with amazon in the past but their use of this courier means I will avoid ordering games from them in future.

I just use Parcel Wizard to buy my games off Amazon now, They seem to only use Asendia for shipping out games which makes delivery slower. Other items from experience seem to be shipped by An Post

So my game never arrived. Amazon, to their credit, shipped a replacement by priority which I'm expecting tomorrow.

I'll just avoid Asendia as much as possible in future and cancel any order with amazon that looks like it will go through them.

Woefully slow. Laughable that amazon would be running the legs of picking staff and spoofing about drone deliveries, then handing it over to these donkeys to send it via hitchhiker or something.

I ordered a game on the 14th March, dispatched on the 15th and due to arrive the 29th but has apparently gone missing. In fairness to Amazon, they have issued a refund but I'd much rather have received the game within a reasonable timeframe.
It will absolutely put me off using Amazon if they continue to use such an unreliable courier service.

I only heard of this company/had first experience yesterday.

Friday 1st of April I ordered a lcd on ebay. Guest order

Dispatched Monday 4th of April and estimated delivery between the 7th-11th.

On the 15th of April I tried to raise a dispute with Paypal but as it was guest order they wouldn't help me.

Woke up yesterday and the parcel was in the hall. 11 DAYS LATE

I use Amazon a lot as well but have never come across Asendia there. Terrified now I will.

This is not good  just heard of these guys today after ordering a watch yesterday afternoon.

Already dispatched by this morning and it's got an estimated delivery of the 9th of May

And why no tracking? Why are they even using them if An Post deliver it? Why not just use Royal Mail? Normally I'd get my stuff from the UK a couple of days after dispatch. 2 weeks is ridiculous.

I ordered something from amazon on April 15th thats been sent by Asendia, and it has an estimated delivery date of May 3rd!

Just shows not even amazon have faith in them delivering the package in a reasonable amount of time! :pac:

We'll blow me down with a feather duster

Ordered on Saturday. Dispatched Sunday with a delivery date of the 9th of May.

    Arrives today :D

Mine arrived yesterday instead of the estimated date of 3rd May.

It came from Switzerland though, what return address did the rest of you guys have?

One of mine never came but it may have been because I had cancelled all orders with Amazon because of the delays. The other did arrive and I returned it to somewhere in Louth.

No sign of my order, one month on from the estimated delivery date. I'm giving up on it as properly lost at this stage. Won't be ordering any more games through Amazon.

My package of a watch also came from Switzerland. Return address was Ridgemont, Bedfordshire.

My first two packages sent with ASENDIA and they both go missing. Two weeks waiting to request a replacement and they send it with ASENDIA again...

More Asendia woes here - 10 days after estimated delivery date of a USB drive it goes missing.

At least Amazon have agreed to send a replacement with a 3 day delivery time.
