So is Coutinho borked or what? Fpl suggests he's 50% for next week. Would prefer to bench if he's only out a week.

Probably won't know for a couple of days but looked like he will miss a couple of games at best.

You don't need to make a decision yet unless price changes will hinder you.

    Stones & Coutinho out.

    Alonso & Mane in.

Ended up doing Coutinho & Stones out.

    Hazard & Cedric in.

Had to do it tonight with price rises/falls later!

Coutinho won't drop tonight. Can't you swallow Pedro first rise and reassess after tomorrow's game? Or are you definite it'll be between these 2?

Do you have Hazard? Doubling up with Chelsea midfield before a key game at the Etihad may not be great.

I know I got Alonso in but can bench him and play McAuley (wat H) Holebas (wba a) Pieters (bur H).

I'm definite it's between those two and I'd hate to miss out on the first Pedro rise if I go with him.

I also have Hazard and Firmino.

I don't think I'll see anything tomorrow to change my mind. I'm happy to own Walcott, for now, and I can't see myself buying a United player except Ibra. Mata loses too much gametime otherwise he'd be a very interesting option.

I'm leaning towards Mane at the minute but that would leave me with zero itb whereas Pedro would leave me 1.9 million itb.

Yeah the double 'Pool mid has worked for many so far (unfortunately not for me for my first week with it).

What could you do with these £1.9m? I mean could it really allow a great upgrade like a Chelsea def or Costa/Kane for Lukaku for example? Don't know if you own any of these lads but just saying as an example...

It's a tougher choice than it looks like though. Both 'Pool and Chelsea (after City away) have a great run of fixtures coming, no European competitions distraction and are on good form and score many goals.

If I were you I'd try to assess how important could this £1.9m flexibility could prove to be in the upcoming GWs. I mean, say you get Pedro. Could you downgrade Hazard to Mané or Coutinho when back and upgrade one of your attacker to Costa to keep good forward Chelsea "cover"?

I've taken -24 over the previous 2 GW's and the intention was to set me up for next 5-8 GW's.

I fully expected to bank over next 2 GW's barring injury and would've used FT's for cleaning up my bench rather than lose them. Really happy with my team right now and there is nobody I want to get rid of with Walcott being the only one under scrutiny and he is easily replaced with Pedro, Siggy, Mata or Ramsey if needs be.

    Heaton, Pickford

    Alonso, Holebas, Brunt

Hazard, Walcott, Firmino, Coutinho for (Mane or Pedro)

    Aguero, Kane, Austin

    Amat, Kingsley, Fletcher

The only place I could possibly spend the 1.9 would be Austin but I like his fixtures.

Torn between Alli/Eriksen/Walcott as Cout replacement. Would really like some Spurs cover for the Swansea game but I don't think I trust Eriksen enough.

Right. You don't (really) need those £1.9m then. So if you fancy keeping 'Pool doubling up, Mané is probably a great choice. Anyway looking at your boards name you kinda have to go for him right :p.

And as you said if Walcott disappoints you can easily replace him with Pedro.

Overall I really like your team. I chose Sanchez and 3-5-2 over your Kane and 3-4-3 but I think you have a very strong squad bar maybe the 2 Swansea defs who don't offer much in case of injuries/suspensions at the back. But the saved cash was certainly worth it and so far, there's no defensive wonder bar Chelsea (whom you own) anyway.

Deeney & williams to anichebe & alonso done with 2Ft.
Leaves me enough to do Allen to sigurdson. I'd ideally prefer to do it next week after Allen plays (burnley I think?) & siggy plays spurs away but I only have .2 to spare and siggy rising .1 tonight or tomorrow means I might not be able to wait.

Will leave it for now anyway. See what happens with firmino & my arsenal player tomorrow.

Scratch that...too many possible injuries now. Looks like I'll be stuck with Fuchs for another week.

Fook it funds are too tight to wait...Fuchs and Cout to Alonso and Alli done. Logging out til Friday :o

I wouldn't let the fact that siggy is away to spurs next week bother me. Form over fixtures and all that.

There's also the obligatory 'Ex player returns to former club' thing.

I expect spurs to win but Siggy to score a few points too.

Anyone see anything in the papers as to why Gundogan was left out again yesterday? Is it injury or just dropped?

Think he was just rested. He played champions league match midweek and yaya isn't in the champions league squad so it'd explain why he chose yaya over him.

I wouldn't keep gundogan with yaya back in the mix now too.

I now only have .1 to spare for Allen to siggy. I might bring in pieters for holebas for a hit this week gaining another .2 and leaving .3 to spare. I can then bring in siggy next week after Allen plays burnley at home.
Pieters has 3 out of next 4 at home so probably worth the hit.

Thinking Sterling to Zaha for next week then to Siggy for the week after - is this madness?

It's a nice thought but plans like that in advance never work out properly in FF.

Need to get Sanchez and Hazard into the team. Just need to pull 10m from somewhere

All thoughts of selling Sanchez now gone
May go ahead with coutinho to zaha to allow bony to Kane
Really restricts midfield options then with both zaha and Capoue in team

I think I'll go with Hazard to Pedro and Lukaku to Kane.

Then I can do Smith to Alonso and one of my other defenders to Cedric the following week for a 4 point hit.

Coutinho to either Mane or Firminho not sure which yet.

    Went with Cou to Mane.

Question for double Liverpool midfield owners...are you planning on keeping two for the next few weeks?

With the recent trend of teams parking the bus I think the days of multiple mega hauls may be over. Have had Mané and Lallana/Firmino pretty much all season which has been fairly successful but Mané in particular seems to struggle in tight games.

Looking at Lovern in for Fuchs and maybe Mané out for Walcott/Ozil. Or possibly the more nuclear option of Hazard out for Sanchez.

2 FTs coming so it looks like Allen, Coutinho & Lukaku out for Siggy, Sanchez and Anichebe (4.9 or less.

That'll leave me with pretty close to my ideal attacking lineup.

    Sanchez, Hazard, Pedro, Mane, Siggy
    Aguero, Bentekkers, (Anichebe)

    Thinking
    Hazard and Coutinho out

    Sanchez and Pedro in

Would like to get rid of Gundagen but I can't spend another day like day behind the couch fearing Sanchez.

Thinking Coutinho, Lukaku and Benteke out for Sanchez, Kane and Anichebe.

Will leave me a front line of
    Sanchez, Hazard, Firmino, Walcott Clayton
    Kane, Aguero, Anichebe

Can rotate Anichebe and a fourth def, depending on fixtures

Oh I like that strong front 6.
Anicebe would really free up funds for my MF. My head may have been turned.

    Considering something quite radical here:

    Lukaku out.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 48,457 ✭✭✭✭km79

Prob gonna do what it takes to get Kane in ahead of those 3 juicy home games
StartIng with next week and I d prob captain him

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 9,513 ✭✭✭Shedite27

Somehow in 3 weeks I've gone from being quite happy to wanting to ditch half my team.... Deeney, Gundog, Coutinho, Lukaku being the top 4, and I still don't have Alonso :(

    2FT and will probably take a -4

Lukaku has got to go now for me!! Is Charlie Austin a good shout at the moment?
