The fuel filler is the opposite side of the exhaust exit*.

*if the car only has one exhause exit

But also it doesnt matter as the fuel pump hose usually stretches around the car (unless you park miles away from the pump or drive a van or so...) should the tank be on the wrong side...

    It's not entirely true.
Cars that don't have the arrow have the petrol tank on the drivers side. But if the arrow is there, it points to the side of the car where the pump goes.
Citroen's or puegots can be either side. It's a myth that the handle shows the side.

To my Shame I only realised today what TRUMP PENCE on all the signs was about.
I thought it was a fundraising slogan ( give donations of pence to Trump, it all adds up or some such motto ) Never took much interest in Trump's campaign, didnt expect he'd win.

Turns out PENCE is the new vice president...

    What I can't believe is that he's only 57...he looks about 97.

I thought the song by The Moody Blues was Knights in White Satin rather than nights. It didn't even occur to me that a knight on his horse dressed in white satin would look fairly odd.

There's a lyric in the Pretenders brass in pocket....'I gotta have some of your attention give it to me...'
For years I've been singing 'I've gotta help somebody old...'

In The Police's Message In A Bottle, there's a lyric "A year has passed since I wrote my note". Until recently, I thought it was "A year has passed since I broke my nose".

Not really obvious but snuck up on …

we’re down to the last person alive (thought) to be born in the 1800’s. (RTE)

That’s a time marker almost as big as 1/1/2000.
She had a fairly grim life but sure happiness isn’t everything!!
Emma Morano, thought to be the world's oldest person and the last to be born in the 1800s, has celebrated her 117th birthday.

She was born in November 1899 so she just about makes it. 1900 was the last year of the 19th century so there may be another one or two people alive who were born in the 19th Century.

Not super obvious, but only recently enough found out that Soweto is a portmanteau of "Southwestern Township", and not just an African word/name.

    Baby On Board.

Always thought it was to let cars behind you know that you are driving with extreme caution as you have...eh...a baby on board.

Didn't know it's true purpose was to let Emergency Services know there is a child in the car in the event of an accident, that they should be attended to first.

If that was the original purpose, than Id say 99.9% of people who have them don't realise.
Certainly the first time I've heard of it.

    Apparently, that's a myth ( http://www.snopes.com/horrors/parental/babysign.asp )

I've changed my car wipers lots of times, but must have always just put them on right first time.
Today I put them on wrong and only noticed the passenger one is smaller than the drivers side...
