    Hello,

I have a mortgage with BOI and have the cashback plus offer.

A condition of this was you had to have a current account with bank of Ireland when drawing down the mortgage.

If I now close that account will it effect my 1% after 5 years?

    Thanks,

    Adrian.

    Hi AdrianC,

Thank you for your post here on Boards.ie.

You’d need to have the current account in 5 year’s time to avail of the offer as seen here below which
was taken from the terms and conditions.

‘The Cashback PLUS Mortgage Offer is for our existing current account customers and is intended to reward their loyalty. We do not require you to use your Bank of Ireland current account to make your mortgage payments, or pay your salary into that account.’

You can view the full terms and conditions here.

    Thanks,

    Tara C
