I do look at http://www.kilkennyweather.com/ for Kilkenny city which is low lying and do compare to http://www.kilkennymet.com/weatherconsole.php which is on high ground in Kilkenny.

Currently in the city it is 3.3C
    On the nearby hills 1.9C

Maybe the hills will get snow later.

I wonder will this make it as far north as Meath. Looks like very little progress over past 3 hours.

Big blobs of white over Dublin Wicklow after midnight tonight on the BBC lunchtime weather

RTE going for mainly Wexford and Wicklow to see rain/sleet/snow, little amounts elsewhere.

All eastern counties should experience strong winds later but many parts could remain dry away from the coast.

It's a pity there's no weather station out at Cahore Point.
R.T.E are warning of storm force winds on the wexford coast.
I expect some coastal erosion with damaging sea surges on any unprotected soft/sand cliffs.

    Getting gusty now

    But haha Siri...

My electricity went, a fault in the Castlecomer area, it is windy so maybe that is the cause.

Can't see there being any snow tonight, looks like wind and rain for the next day or two. Temp not as low or harsh as the weekend was here in North Dublin.

    The lifeboat has set sail

I've a mobile home in Cahore point - concerned as to it's safety when I hear these forecasts! It's amazing to see every summer when we go down how different the beaches can be as a result of winter months.

Took a drive to the east wexford coast. There's a few trees and branches down in places.

I met a good few esb vans and trucks in places. They seem to be getting ready in case of breakdowns.

Then a few pics of ballinoulart? beach.

    Can't see the pictures?

I've a place just inland from Cahore, spoke to a friend from there today , said it was a bit wild and heavy rain. Hopefully it doesn't get too bad later on.

Just spoke to my neighbour, said it's pretty rough now, he's delighted that he took about 6 trees down from around his house over the last 2 weeks, one of which was about 80 foot tall.

You should see the beaches on the west coast, some end up like harbour's.
Fanore sometimes has all the sand gouged off the beach and all you have is a few pockets of sand and limestone everywhere
