Win10 Admin permissions

Need serious help here guys. I'm trying to delete files belonging to a particular program in the c:\\program files(x86) folder. and even though I am the local admin, it keeps saying I need admin access to delete them. Need serious help here guys.

I'm trying to delete files belonging to a particular program in the c:\\program files(x86) folder. and even though I am the local admin, it keeps saying I need admin access to delete them.

I've tried taking ownership of the files, tried changing security of the files, but even when I try to change securities I get an error such as error applying security. failed to enumerate objects in the container. Access is denied.

Any ideas or suggestions other than throwing laptop in the bin

restart in safe mode on the off chance they are in use by something or other general weirdness

in a runs as administrator command prompt try CACLS / ICACLs

In my attempts to fix it, the start menu started not working. Went and did a fresh install.
