Doesn't matter. They've taken down the pages for these ps4s.

They don't just magically reappear if they get restocked no?

Surely there will be some left then tomorrow of people who never collected?

Probably only would be in store though and unable to reserve them...

Usually yeah but the pages are down so can't reserve them so its up to the person if they think it's worth running around from store to store to save a few quid.

On HUKD they're saying Argos is keeping the remaining stock that's reserved but not bought for a black Friday promotion

did you have the games originally reserved I wonder? the other boardsie member told me he forgot to reserve them yesterday, so chances are i will be just getting the machine on its own.

Nope, Got the 1TB one and no fifa was with it. I said it was though, but they could see on the system it wasn't added so I just stuck with them. But saying that there was also an extra game (uncharted or no mans sky free with the 1TB aswell, and that didnt show up either on the system). So I just kept telling them deal was FIFA17 free.

I strongly doubt that any will re-appear at those prices. Was told this afternoon in one of the Dublin city branches that the promotion was a one day thing.

In my case I just got the console there.
Was told Fifa would be in next week and I can collect for free.
Also she found uncharted in another store and reserved it for me, again free. Happy days.

You have 2 months to claim the deal

the staff on the phone said there was noway he could give any games with it unless it was reserved, and now to make sure, he is asking for proof of email booking to show what was reserved. its for a 500gb model not the 1tb

Honoured it that way (separate) for my friend earlier, sounds like they are being difficult for the sake of it...

i collected mine from Galway this afternoon, 500gb, fifa 17, uncharted, 189, they asked to see email and phone reserve. , the manager congratulated me, he said a lot of people tried to unsuccessfully collect using phone text, he also said staff were unaware it had happened until yesterday morning until they came to work by which time they were all reserved, my is for santa's bag :)

Why were so many places in the UK selling them so cheap for that day too? Weird.

I thought it was a PS4 price drop in general, pissed off I didn't get one now

I tried and I tried but I couldn't get a store that stocked one.

Here's a suggestion for mods and you lot to vote on.

If a high value item like this comes up, shouldn't users with a long-term account on BA be the preferential ones to view the thread?
Say you're less than a year long BA subscriber, then you don't get to see the high value items like PS4's, massive TV reductions, Macbook clearances, what have you.

Most of us on here are looking for ourselves or buying for family. Could we not get Boards to restrict thread views for those profiteers?

Or is this less a community than I thought?

I assumed they were clearing out stock for the PS4 slim/pro.

I recommend this forum to loads of people.
If that nonsense started, I wouldn't be bothered following it myself.
There'll always be greedy sods looking to take advantage, but restricting bargains to long term " luvvies" isn't the way to stop it.
    There's no way really.

You can't be serious. This post came from a post on HUKD. We are the ones jumping on the bandwagon as such. Should they restrict who can view bargains on there website to prevent lurchers like us?

Also the stock didn't fly off the shelves/webpages because this was posted on a small sub section of boards.ie. It was a well publicised sale. trusted reviews, the verge, tech radar, digital spy and wired are just some of the major websites that were carrying this as a home page headline.

When I went to purchase through shipto beneath the basket it said something crazy like "3215 other people have this item in their basket also." I don't think anyone imagined just how huge the demand would be.

I don't think the boards community was the cause of argos selling out. I actully saw it on Eurogamer first.

I'm laughing at the fact that you truly believe that this is the only place bargains are posted.

    Why do you say that?

They do it for lots of hidden forums on here?

EG - You can not access the dating forum without being a member X amount of time and having X amount of posts on Boards...

Can't see why bargain alerts can't be made the same, it would actually encourage new people to actively start using the forum just so they can eventually get to see Bargain Alerts...

Also newbie's can't post links until they get to 100 posts as far as I know so it can be done...

Lock it to 500 posts I reckon, and make it that it can't be seen by Google Cache...

Plenty of vbulletin fora have features like this

This was actually suggested to mods the other day so hopefully they may make some kind of arrangement for the future...
