Has anyone been able to confirm the viability of more stock becoming available?
I'd say a lot of stores have been hit with people making reservations that will not get collected.

Possibly but gonna be a hell lot more people clambering to get a console, be it genuine people or dirty resellers so chances drop of getting one.

Hard to know, i'd be pretty confident that they would still have non slim consoles in stock in their warehouses but i think that the sale today was just a flash sale to boost general argos sales. Well Smyth's is running the deal for ten days I think I saw, as is John Lewis, so if they do, id guess Argos will price match them.
