I keep getting a message that chrome browser is out of date. Was on Lidl website earlier and it advised that:
This website would like to remind you: Your browser (Chrome 49) is out of date. Update your browser for more security, comfort and the best experience on this site.
Is it ok to update Chrome or am I grand as I am:)

You're probably grand as you are, but I always recommend keeping your system up to date with both programs and windows update. With Windows Update, it should do it automatically (even if this is sometimes a pain). Some third party programs are also good with keeping themselves up to date, like Chrome itself actually. And then there are other programs that are terrible at it, and are generally considered a danger to your security.

Personally, I use a program called "Patch My PC", which scans your PC for programs, finds which ones have updates available, and then downloads and installs them for you, with no "extra" stuff (like "free" anti-virus). There are other programs that do the same, but that's the one I use.
