Was going to fix this up for test but haven't got round to it so time to sell it on.

    https://www.donedeal.ie/cars-for-sale/alfa-156-1-6-sportivo/13205900

Overall condition pretty good except for a wishbone, CV boot and handbrake cable. Engine good, hardly burns any oil and there is no variator noise.

Purchased one of these off amazon , received in the last couple of days. initial impression is it is well made. A lot of options in the app for your phone. will be putting it in today , so hopefully it lives up to my expectations.

I believe it's the function to warn of speed cameras. I could be wrong though so don't take my word for it.

5V 1A is pretty much the standard rating for dashcams.

I got this last week and fitted it yesterday, was pretty easy and I just trialled and errored on whether the socket I used was related to car being on or constant, just one time for others though, make sure it's earthed at all times...and the unit came fitted with a 2a fuse to run the dashcam

Selling my beloved 2011 Kia Ceed CRDI3 Automatic (Diesel). Due to family/pet circumstances, I need a bigger car.

Excellent condition and low mileage (42k miles). FSH and just serviced on August 18th.

    Selling my Alfa Romeo GT.

It's my second Alfa and she's been well looked after. Just looking to move up the years a bit otherwise I'd have no call to change. A lovely car with leather all round, Bose sound system, metallic paint and 17" alloys.

Hard to find a lower mileage example.

My LPG S60 has to go. I'm no longer doing the miles to justify taxing a 2 litre. I'll be loath to see it go, but needs must...

She has been well looked after and has got whatever she needed (which wasn't that much in fairness). Nice comfy mile muncher - it's like driving around in a leather armchair. Averaging the equivalent of 45 mpg running on gas.

Bought a new dash Cam Ddpai m6 plus on eBay and a 64gb class 10 card now can't wait to get it to try out.

What hard wire kit would best suit in this case.

I hard wired my 0805 into the car a few weeks back and ran all the cables behind the dash and up the A-pillars, etc. It's plugged into a 12V socket shown a few posts up.

Just wondering if I was to buy the Nextbase 402G any time soon, will I be able to just use the same cable I ran for this or will I need the actual cable that comes with the new one? The end I have now is micro USB but I'm not sure if there's a mad range of voltages between these things.
If you want to use the cable you ran you,ll prob need this
High Quality 1pc DC 12V to DC 5V 3A 15W Converter Module Duble USB Output Power Adapter New Dropping Shipping
    http://s.aliexpress.com/EFfMFF7N
    (from AliExpress Android)
You,d have to wire the 12v side to the add a fuse in your fusebox ,then the 5v side to the female cigarette lighter part .
That's if that new dashcam to 5v.

The internal battery is only to allow the 'Auto Power Off' feature to function in
event of power loss within the vehicle. It is not intended as an
alternative power source to replace the supplied car adaptor.

I have a next base DC as well, I read on the website it has to be charged for 4 hours. As apposed to using it with the cig charger...

I tried my Sony DSC-WX100 compact on a mount recently just for fun. Knew that it would have more pros than cons, primarily due to the battery. Manual says it can do 60 minutes, but real world it's only about half of that. Camera shut itself off after about 22 minutes or so. Not due to card capacity. Turned it on again and it filmed another chunk. Even if it did last 60 minutes that's not enough to cover my commute, realistically. The other issue, even though the mount was decent, was camera vibration. Footage itself was generally alright, though reg plates could be tricky to read.

I'm not technical enough to install my own. I guess that probably leaves Halfords, yeah? The ebay one mentioned a few posts looks interesting, though. Also, what's the story with apps - do you need to have the app going whilst the camera is recording?
