    @legally clueless

What would I be looking for on experian?
Check for any credit searches completed outside the norm of insurers/credit card applications etc

I think I sent mine at the beginning of may also, still not clear, although I do have 2 addresses so maybe that's holding it up.
I have 3, all in different UK Police Forces and I'm already in a different force. It's a shame they don't give out more info of what stage you're at. This is the first time in the process I've not had a date to aim for...

I had the search show up on my file a while ago and my vetting is still outstanding. I'd heard that it was one of the final stages of the vetting process...not so sure it's that reliable of an indicator anymore!

I couldn't find any info on the experian site of any credit checks being done, but I do now know my credit score is excellent! Haha
I'll be calling again next week to check.. heard November could be the first intake.. could have to do my pca again by the time I get a call!

I think we scored around the same at the accessment centre tackleberry. I really hope we don't have to do it again! Lol my throat was in bits after it.

    I was 67%
I had a chest infection for 2 weeks after it! Was well within the time though so I can cool the beans a bit if I've to do it again.

Well you have to do it in Gville anyway so!!!

When did you do your medical? It's valid for 6 months from date of completion so if intake was November then would still be within time limit surely as I thought Medicals for the 1509 didn't happen until July?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 202 ✭✭Tackleberry1

Pca was end of June medical was end of July. I doubt I'd be in the first intake and if they're on a 5 week turnover it could be December or after depending where I am on the list. December being my 6 month expiry for pca. I don't mind would just rather not have to.

Has anyone with a roughly 67% AC score had their vetting cleared yet? I'm still waiting.. (impatiently)

Mines taking an age just don't want to miss out because of it not being cleared yet.

I would say it will be cleared by the time our scores come around for the call!

Im in the same boat (66%) and vetting not cleared yet so emailed vetting last night and they replied straight away this morning stating there was 'no general delay in (my) vetting and it will be completed in due course'. Just seems like they may have done a certain number/batch, perhaps those maybe in the 1st intake; and hopefully we'll be done next....hopefully!! :) It dont feel i have anything to worry about why it hasnt come through yet other than it just hasnt been done yet.

How long does it take the drugs test to come back?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 25 El Ahrairah

It's about a week after the medical that they should have the SMT results.

Tricop, where did you get the e-mail contact for vetting? Would like to chase mine up for some peace of mind!

It's on a standard 7 day turnaround with randox. I asked the guy taking the sample.

At the risk of being labelled dense, can someone who is going for, or who has already done their PCA help me out?

The location address they give isn't the same street on google maps. I don't know the town at all so am quite confused.

Stick the postcode into Google maps and it takes you right there :)

yea it does, pop into street view to have a look around before you travel. It should then become obvious.

Glad I noticed last night. Thanks to Homer and Bunsen Burner for helping me out and clarifying it for me.

So what happens if vetting expires? Is it a reduced form that needs to be sent in and do they take as long to process it as the original vetting?
