there was nothing there, the guy had pulled out to the overtaking lane to facilitate the guy pulling out.

You're not being serious, are you?

No he didn't he was one of those "get into the fasht lane as quick as possible" retards.

Would of done the same thing if the silver car wasn't there, can tell immediately from their driving style as see this all the time.

That's not what I'm saying at all. I'm commenting on the criticism of the guy who went to the end of the slip road before merging. There was no one there, so he wasn't a problem when he " launches themselves into the driving lane no matter what is already there". It has nothing to do with the guy you are talking about.

Except I haven't commented on the subject of the video. Better do that now and say the guy was a complete arsehole. Happy now?

I wish boards had a quoting feature to clarify who someone is responding to. One can dream.

I'd be happier if you made your points more clearer :P

    Heavy on the brakes?

Well, yeah. I had slowed down to 100 kmh from 120 when I caught up so the guy who pulled into the overtaking lane was doing, at most, 90.
The reason I didn't pull out and go around both of them is because the audi was there so was unsafe to do so, so that should give you an indication of how much distance there was.
He had to press his brakes hard enough to go from 120+ to 90 in the space of about 2 seconds.
Sorry he didn't smash the brake pad and go squeeling into the median but he was certainly heavier on the brakes than I would want to be forced.

I would have thought that it was obvious I had replied to your post as iyt had nothing to do with "heavy braking" and someone else posted whilst I was typing. I hope that's more clearer.

Typical in ability to merge. I suspect he did that (not excusing it) because the focus (?) in front wouldn't speed up to merge. I fecking hate that, almost as much as I hate the wankery that goes on as you're coming onto the M1 off airside. If people just sped up or slowed down to allow people to merge and actually used their fecking indicators it wouldn't be the gauntlet it is. But no, that would require actually being aware of the surrounding situation and thinking of others, shock horror!

Seems my vid of hitting the pigeon has gone on a bit of a run, jumped over 2500 views in one day. Newsflare also snapped it up to distribute to their partners, they take half of the revenue for their efforts. Nice one.

Your reaction is hilarious in fairness. :D

Just shared it on FB myself there. Awaiting the summons in the door from Newsflare now.

I've been watching all the Polski Drogi videos that get posted here and have gone back to watch the older ones. At 6:50 in the video above.... a true new underwear moment.

wow . 6 50 would have been a very bad crash. fair play to both drivers , if either had braked or swerved it was all over for the biker

Kia messing about on the M50 today... Left brake light was burned out on the Kia but you can see the middle light go on when he decides to brake check the Skoda...

What a complete and utter tosser. All that nonsense only to cut right across the lanes to get to his exit. I see it a lot of the time, though. People leave it until the last few seconds to cut across from the fast lane and straight to their exit. All for the sake of a few seconds. It achieves nothing and only shows the small mindedness of those that do such things. I'm sure this is the type of behaviour that results in incidents on the M50 everyday.

nobody really shone as a good driver in that clip. Lane discipline was not too hot.

Can we stop this finger pointing please? I'm driving with cruise control set to 110 km/h always in this clip. Real world speed is 99-100 km/h and I always pulled in when I had to. Sometimes it seems like I'm hogging the lane for a short while because other drivers aren't driving at a constant speed.

The only time I hogged the lane was when the brake checking was happening and I wasn't thinking about lane discipline at that point being in shock seeing the Kia driver brake check the Skoda! I'd rather pay attention to those two cars so I have a chance to avoid them if something happens than "oh gawd I hope I'm not blocking the middle lane for the driver behind".

I won't be posting here again.

I don't think your driving was being criticised. I saw no issue with it anyway. It was more the Octavia and ESPECIALLY the a**ehole in the KIA that the finger was being pointed at, I'd imagine. The taxi had to change lanes to prevent an incident, but the KIA moron wasn't having any of that. What he did was stupid, dangerous and completely and utterly pointless. At that stage, he should have already been in the inside lane, if he was to turn off slightly further up. My two cents anyway!

Tiny critique for what? Not my fault everyone cannot drive at a constant speed. It's a really difficult job considering most cars are fitted with CC these days.

This might not look much , but we got a fright today.

I hope the back door on jeeps can't open any more than half-way

Most cars on the roads in Ireland will not have CC.

I'm not really sure why you would be frightened?

The door is at full opening and won't go further.

He would have had something in the rear where door wouldn't have closed.

Safe when the load is secure. And of course not a danger.

There are many vehicles that have doors that open the full 180 degrees, I would be wary as well.

Vans correct but those 4x4s no.

While we are approaching with a combined speed of about 150kmh, I won't be thinking too long about whether the door only opens 90 or could swing the whole 180.
I'd be leaving a gap to avoid being hit!

How many drivers out there would know this , - you must always expect the unexpected .

The road is narrow and the jeep was swinging left - it was close enough when you see the wheel on back door is your nearest point to vehicle .
