Did my buddies parent's 5 Series GT over the weekend, needed a badly needed detail inside and out!

    Exterior Before and Afters:

A previous spray job on the door left unfinished...

    Fixed:

Sorted and protected with Dr. Leather Dye Block against future transfer:

It's been like that nearly 4 years nearly part of the car now....

I would love to get a wing but any crashed I come across are hit on front or gone.

Finally gave mine an overdue wash.....

    Bilt Hamber auto-foam first.

    rps20160815_202109_288.jpg

First time using the auto-foam as I'd being using the 50Cal Ambush Super foam up to now. I prefer the Bilt Hamber as it seem to cling better and also clean better. This is straight after the auto-foam was rinsed off.

    rps20160815_202030_337.jpg

Then it was the usual, 2BM with AG Shampoo, BH Autowheels and wheel woolies and Dry-me-Crazy. Ya the photo below is just before the drying as its getting dark.....

Attacked the interior with CarPro PERL at the weekend and it came up fantastic, lovely matte black finish. Used 1:1 concentration which worked a treat, no smearing or oily residue.

Had a Tesla Model S in work today, I got to work on it :) We gave it a full decontamination and sealed with Fusso, the interior got a good tidy up. Savage machine, the owner was kind enough to give us a spin in it too :D:D

In not such a great state, always parked under trees too so caked in sap!

I was drooling over it. Stunning car. Mine was the E91 parked beside it that's in dire need of a good cleaning. My father in law was the parking attendant for !the green'!

Ah you're the son in law he was talking about haha! My uncle lives in No. 8 and I was in to cut hedges only to find the petrol tank empty on the machine!

I know your brother in law and mother in law fairly well. Not sure Michael knew who I was when chatting to him though!

The "green" hasn't been green in a century I'd say :pac:

He knows you alright, he told me you were in school with Mike and that you were there to cut hedges! Mick has the lowdown on everyone!

    He most certainly does :D

The worst thing about Sarsfield street is that on match days people just dump their cars along the road without any thought for the people living on the road. Bloody awful!

Redid the F31 I protected earlier in the year, this time with a Ceramic Coating on the body, calipers, wheels and the exhaust. Some of the trim received a Trim Restorer/protectant.

She was fairly manky from the trip down from Tip, these photos are from just after the wheels were cleaned.

Yeah before it was a sealant, GTechniq's C2V3 at the time, protected it well to be fair!

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 19,917 ✭✭✭✭MetzgerMeister

One application of C2V3 is supposed to last 8 months.

Sorry, very new to the Deatiling world.

Whats the pink stuff you all use to clean the Alloys?

Going to attack my car this weekend, never gave her a clay bar treatment so should get some nice before and after shots.

It's basically a fall out remover. Such as iron particles within brake dust etc. Products such as Bilt Hamber Korrosol or Iron-X will give you this purple 'bleed' effect.
