    Someone made the whole thing up as some sort of sick joke. None of the reports are real and some of them sound like rejected scripts for a daytime soap.

    This was posted on Galway Waterways Patrol FB during the week after they issued the alert about Larry Murphy being spotted down around Sparch.
    We have just had a consultation with the Gardai👮👮 in mill St, they have assured us it's not the offender Larry Murphy but openly said the sightings reported are like his double, this person was also approached and spoken to as a precaution and is not the offender, a case of mistaken identity,.... ❤️❤️❤️, thank you to everyone who contacted us with the sightings, better safe than sorry, have a lovely weekend 👠

    Have to feel seriously sorry for whoever the "double" is.
